Texas is FUBAR along with Florida - however the best step IMO isnt to curb gun sales but rather introduce similar checks as with permits. The metrics on permit carriers vs just purchased guns in violence is very different. The background checks eliminate a lot of the unstable and criminal category (although they have other gun sources).Oh I agree that gun violence is endemic and must be curtailed. The real question is how, given the social and legal environment here. Texas is even experimenting with allowing conceal carry without a permit on one end and inner city jurisdictions are clamping down on any gun ownership at all, or at least making noises in that direction. What the current Supreme Court will do in this matter will be interesting to see.
Finally, education and exposure have a huge impact too. I carry both a handgun and a AR - but the usage and knowing when to have it on derive from my judgment which has had people drill in education and exposure to different situations.
Most gun clubs offer that training to a certain level - guns should be accessible but we just need better controls to get to them.
Unlike your country there are massive debates on subjects like these with positive changes. What you have is ethnic cleansing or organ trade with propaganda films showing everything is great. Tianamen, Hong Kong all brushed under the pretty red carpet. What is on the coin? US people love combat attacking pleasure. Shooting and bombing of so many innocents life around the world is not satisfying and now they are practising assault weapons at home? Find very hard to comprehend? Is life so cheap at home in US land? No native American Indian to shoot they are shooting the minorities? Life is short why they cannot learn to more kind? @VCheng the abc please answer
