I read the article and I already said that it is typical indian's rant about Pakistan. Not credible. But when an Indian talks about his own PM then it holds some credibility. And if we look at the way Modi govt is behaving then it surely holds a lot of credibility.

How has the Modi government dealt with China, Pakistan and Kashmir? These three issues are central to Indian security. BJP criticised the UPA government on its handling of security. Has it done any better? It would seem not. Relations with China and Pakistan have scarcely been worse; and Kashmir faces the kind of turmoil we have not seen in the Valley for years.

Problem for Mr Modi is that right now Congress has started to attack him systematically but rather than taking evasive measures he is providing them more material in shape of his failed policies. Now he needs a diversion and Mr Doval wud be pushing him to take extreme measures and thus we can not rule out that they stage an attack on their own soil, kill their own people, blame Pakistan for it, make lots of hue and cry and then flare up Pak-India border. But problem is that even that is going against him. They can only amass their bahadur Sena only at Pak-India border as their two war front strategy is still on the paper and bearing now sign of rolling the wheels.

It was always obvious. 56 inch chest realized that not every affair with your neighbors are as simple as Gujarat riots.

It is quite the opposite. Any Gujrat kind of riots will have stiff opposition across India, while against Pakistan, India will be united. It is easier for Modi to convince the Indian public of any action against Pakistan and no one will question.

He might not have meddled in this matter until NS openly started trying to rake up Kashmir issue here & there post wani encounter, followed by the black day nautanki .....
Its not dead end in case of Pakistan while with china we have been having this tussle game for more than 2 decade now. Instead many feel current gov adding biting teeth in its policy towards both the countries.
India's sudden interest/activism in SCS is not stemmed from any geopolitical ambition but from purely to puzzle the giant neighbour & Chinese goes bit apprehensive about India's strategic interest in the backdrop of judgement against the Chinese claims in SCS by a international tribunal......
