A military helicopter with diplomat passengers crash-landed on a school in Gilgit Baltistan’s Naltar Valley, killing seven on board.
The deceased include ambassador of Norway Leif H. Larsen, Ambassador of Philippines Domingo D. Lucenario Jr, wives of Indonesian and Malaysian envoys Mrs Heri Listyawati Burhan Muhammad and Mrs Datin Habibah Mahmud; and three Pakistanis — Maj Faisal (pilot), Maj Altamash (pilot) and Subaidar Zakir (crew).
Preparations have also been made to send the bodies to their home countries.
Flame and smoke rises from the site where the helicopter crashed on a school building in Naltar. The crash resulted in killing seven people including the Norwegian and Philippine envoys. — AFP
