My guess is that Nehru didn't plan a war with Pakistan for Kashmir. He want to settle this peacefully, that is why he went to UN . We always think why did Nehru take the Kashmir issue to the UN when Sardar Patel was so sure of solving the problem with a few more days in hand? His mistake.
