As an Indian on this and other Iran section threads, some interesting observations.

The flow of racism follows the flow of Islamic conquests.

Follow the path and you will work out who is racist against whom, and in turn is beaten upon by whom.

Its an intersting concept and has little to do with color or blood but more to do with historical military triumphs superimposed on the fabric of modern geopolity, regardless of the relities of today.

What is also intersting to see is how differently Indians and Iranians are beaten down on.

And how and why they react so differently in the tone of their defiance.

The reason is not hard to fathom either.

As an Indian it makes me proud with the smirk of having had the last laugh. And contributing in our small way towards it.

As a Zoroastrian it pains me greatly and makes me really sad.

Of the three great ancient civilizations born out of Asia, two are well on their way to resuming their rightful place in the world.

We await the third to stand up and be counted once more.

ohh i see your pain , you are upset of continous getting ruled , you should be happy we never looted you like your british masters. Im sure you love them because they looted you.

That's not true.

That is true......the eleventh commandment was written by the blood of Armenians :) however Armenian and Persians history together goes too far back and our roots are way too deep to argue over such little things. Look at my Avatar, that is an Armenian chariot Archer in Persepolis.

Also, Azerbaijan was the name of a Persian province long before Turkish invasions and Azari meant you are from that part of Iran, many great Persian leaders came from there and nothing to do with Turks. The Turkic Azeris that the Turkish members here refer to are the long lost Turkified Iranian Azaris who now live in Stalins created Azerbaijan. Turks like to claim all Azeris as Turks in Persian history which is not true.

To be on topic I would guess there are more Iranians who support the regime than not.....I wonder what the percentage would be in Tehran though.

Nice to know that. A little off topic, I have met few Armenians in real life and they r nice humble people. Wikipedia classifies Armenia-Pakistan relations as extraordinarily poor "owing to numerous disagreements", however I don't think majority of Pakistan have any strong feelings FOR or AGAINST Armenia. I was telling that Greek guy on this forum too that please DON'T ASSUME that if Pakistanis are friends with Turkey, that automatically means that Armenians and Greeks r our enemies. Pakistanis should establish relations with these countries independently of its relations with Turkey.

Trying to show the Shah as the good man. Can't fool others.
Shah was a pure puppet and only a proxy of U.S who was ruling Iran.He was a betrayer,he could be a good person and leader, but after 1953 coup,he became a ruthless dictator. If he treated Iranians well, maybe we wouldn't need any revolution at all.He saw American interests on top of Iranian interests.I can't even think about someone like him (or his son) to rule Iran again.

And about 1979 revolution,it wasn't just Mullahs who toppled the Shah, more than 95% of Iranians were sick of him.Almost all political groups, from Islamists to communists and liberals opposed him.

You said it yourself shah was puppet of USA that's why he was good for them while mullah or any ruler who don't give a **** about them will be considered evil. when they supported the regime of Iranian shah then they forgot their slogan of democracy or when any mullah will get elected by democracy then that democracy will also become evil for them

Thanks for your post jinxeD_girl.....and no, I don't assume that at all, and in fact I have felt otherwise speaking to few very pro Turkish Pakistanis and I am impressed by how strong Pakistani solidarity is with Turks, but that is all there is, its not personal (putting religious extremism aside) I just hope they don't get disappointed by the Turks at the end.

Pakistanis should establish relations with these countries independently of its relations with Turkey.

A good start would be to recognize Armenia as a state.....Pakistan is the only country I know of who does not recognize Armenia, even Turkey does.

 Are you sure about that? That is the first time I am hearing this. On Pakistani Passport it is written that this passport is valid for all countries except Israel. I don't think that Pakistan doesn't recognize Armenia.

I am very sure dear lady....at the same time Armenia supports India on Kashmir, I think even Wiki says it.

statement made back in 2006
"The Islamic Republic of Pakistan does not recognize Armenia even as a country for the sake of Azerbaijan," Pakistani Tourism Minister Nilufer Bakhtiyar told a press conference today while commenting on the situation of tourism between Pakistan and Armenia.
The Pakistani Minister stressed Azerbaijan and Pakistan support each other regarding political affairs. Azerbaijan backs Pakistani position on the Kashmir problem, APA reports.

For all the Turkey bashing indulged in by Iranians, to outsiders its pretty clear which form of Islam and the state the world at large would like to see and engage with.

No angeldust, Iran is not going to revert to Zoroastrianism. It has been purged from their genes and their land completely. Stop dreaming.

They have a new God. Leave it at that.

Imagine if the mullahs did fall, how would a post IRI iran turn out to be? A secular democracy that needs to work hard on development? Would the iranian people take revenge on saudi arabia? Would it be sucessfull like Post wwII germany or japan? Would the USA do a mashall aid like programme to get iran back on its feet? Imagine if Iran replaces the Saudis in being the important oil supplier to the USA!
SA is not an important supplier of oil to USA.

Pakistan shouldnt recognise armenia., they are too insignificant for another positives while will bring in more negatives . ( you may say then why does turkey recognise india , i think no need to ask that ) they will just bring more prblems for pakistan.

Not so sure of that bro. Most you see here and elsewhere on the net are confused nationalistic kids with almost nil religious fiber in them. The reasons are clear. They like the romance of us against the world fed to them by their mullas. They detest the mullas for everything else. They crave to be back into the global mainstream, and at heart are more American than the Yanks. Yet do not see a way out of the mess the mullas have put them into. They were fed the BS that the Shah was bad for them. As were their parents. That Zoroastrianism was the original evil and corrupted to the level that Islam came to their rescue. Now they are not so sure. Not that they will be caught dead on public fora admiting as such.

Rudderless and confused and angry and resentful, they go through life. Either in their homeland. Or as the expat "exiles." Both will abuse each other. Some will be more Islamist than the mullas themselves. But the common delusional thread that they are Persians and inheritors of the proud legacy. Never mind the Arab onslaught of the past. Trivialities such as those are the bane of their existence. They hanker after the "Persian" glory, but have no idea how to shrug off the Islamic cloak that has shroudd their land and people for centuries now. The dichotomy breeds feeble defiance of culture and language and the "twisting" of Islam to Zoroastrian tenets, but of course we so painfully see through that facade of the remnants of our own blood.

They have a new God. Leave it at that.

Indians joining different forums and claiming/acting like Parsis and then dissing Iranians/Pakistanis/Arabs/Islam etc and supporting Hinduism is nothing new. Reminds me of another so called Parsi (Partha or something) active on Iranian Defence forum, doing exactly the same thing as these two Parsis are doing. As far as Parsis claiming in other thread that it is ONLY Parsis that r the beholders of ancient Iranian looks, while Iranian themselves have flat mongolian Arab looks. I did some googling and here is how your average Parsi and average Iranian looks like.

It is obvious from the pics that Parsis look very Indian/Indianized.. while Persians still look well... like Persians!!

Why Pakistan shouldn't recognize a country which exists and is recognized around the world. By NOT recognizing it, would it change the reality? In my personal opinion, Pakistan should also recognize Israel.
