Prime Minister Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump on Thursday during which bilateral and regional issues were discussed, a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office said.

During the phone call, Prime Minister Imran termed the release of two Western hostages by the Taliban in Afghanistan as a "positive development", saying Pakistan was happy that the duo was safe and free.

"President Trump thanked the prime minister for Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating this positive outcome," the statement said.

No better still ask your howdy friend for which dance India festival was held to hold the plebiscite in Kashmir or put sanctions on India for violating the UN resolutions and human rights of innocent people who are put into the open prison. Enough is enough we do all the dirty works for them and rewards are given to the terrorist Modi. What a contradiction of relations between 2 nations.
I think US house committee should be held again and IK need to appear in front of the proceedings. Ask all the so called human rights champions of the world house representatives, where is their conscious on Kashmir.

And by the very next, he might be blaming Pakistan for all the evil in the world or whatever he deem fit to relate. You thank us specifically with words while the tirade against Pakistan goes viral with lot of sanctions or threat of sanctions influencing our markets. You made us confused and the same is not fruitful for more working relationship.

Give Trump what he wants most: a peace agreement in Afghanistan that will allow the US its "victory" and maybe the doors will re-open for Pakistan.

Pakistan makes the same mistake with the US over and over again. Every hint of a tilt toward Pakistan is celebrated as a victory. Just look at what happened with IK's visit to the White House. Came back declaring that he won the World Cup. What did he win exactly?

Is US hypocritical on human rights? Yes, but so is every other country in the world, including Pakistan. Human rights only seem to fit into the context of national interests.

They thank us through discrete channels but malign us publicly???
