In biggest troop reduction, China to bring army down to 1 million

Well I never denied that....what I told was about the increase in PLAN forces. The speed at which China is building Amphibious landing crafts and helicopter carriers they must be restructuring for amphibious operations. It is one of the most difficult operations and it is a nightmare for any commander to do an Amphibious operation. The support and Logistics and maneuvering capability is very limited. Actually taking over small islands are more difficult than D-Day landings if you ask any war planner. That is what I meant. And stop day dreaming that your army and paramilitary are enough to take on Indian army. The Moment war is declared between India and China almost all of your soldiers will drop the QBZ and revert back to the type-56. You people still have to defend your country instead of the party. The Indian army has 80% overachievers sitting on the top but in the PLA you have 90% party loyalists sitting on top. Can you deny this?
That's my opinion and you have the right to be different. My opinionis a combination of Army and paramilitary is more than enough to counter Indian land operations. Why would we drop the QBZ ? I don't get your point, what has party loyalty got to do with military ability? In event of war, people regardless of affiliation will fight for the country, just like how Muslims can be soldiers in India. 80% overachievers? Overachieving what? And you think the top military brass in China are stupid idiots? You can assume that, I don't mind, but it seems you are out of touch with the Chinese military.

Yes most of them are stupid idiots. Party loyalty comes first in China. That is what happens in totalitarian regimes. And when was the last major international exercise that you had? So how much exposure and where did your commanding officers get them from? What is the promotion criteria for a Chinese officer?

I still say the Chinese military can produce a lot of weapons very fast. But there is no shortcut in crew training. Most of the Chinese forget why many of the weapon systems have a gestation period.

Yes the Russians could manufacture a large number of T 34 during world war 2 but people are forgetting that they had that tank designed, built and ready for combat before the war started.

The Germans infact could replace the machinery but getting trained personnel to man them became difficult.

I told you, you have the right to assume Chinese generals as idiots, I can't stop you. But you need to check the amount of military war games Chinese conduct and also joint military exercises China has with foreign nations, please read US DOD report. To me just because they are loyal to the party, doesn't make them idiots. These same bunch of idiots are also the ones directing the development of those shiny indigenous advanced weapons you see so often in this forum. Yes, the Chinese are only smart in making indigenous weapons, but they are idiots when fighting wars.

Crew training and calling military leadership as idiots are two different things, again you can assume we don't train our soldiers, we just develop indigenous advanced weapons, but we are idiots only, we don't train them. =) LOL

Straight from the horses mouth. No denying it.

If you have read how CCP thrashed KMT in prior to 1949, korean war and vietnam war etc, the CCP is not meant to be trifled with.

Its evolved from land army that is superior in tactics to possessing an air force and navy that is superior in technology to all except USA

How will this reduced force ever threaten India? This goes against all the chest thumpings of many chinese posters on this forum.
A typical indian. haha When we are going to do something, u will begin wailing to mourning. Do u not learn from1962, do u? 1 indian can crush 10Chinese blablabla.... hahaha

They really naively think we are idiots. When China says we have only 10 000 soldiers versus their 100 000 soldiers, they really believe this kinda shit, they have no idea about capability secrecy in Chinese strategic thinking.

Agree with your viewpoint. China and India have very different cultures, thus affecting their interpretation of situations. China and Chinese in general like to keep most of their capabilities hidden for modesty and security. I think it is very dangerous to assume Chinese military are full of "stupid idiots", whenever one thinks that its best to assume they are playing dumb 战略忽悠.

朱日和(Zhurihe) training centre which is one of the most high tech training centres is well known to outsiders since its talked about in Chinese media. What is less known is that China has a similar training centre for operations in Tibet.

China understands the value of logistics in a war and its vulnerabilities. What outsiders might not know is that China keeps hidden stockpiles weapons, food, supplies, fuel, etc. in areas of potential operations all around over the country in case rapid mobilisation is needed or supplies lines are cut. To the untrained eye, it would look like a normal mountain side but in reality they have stockpiles of supplies and will be accessed during training and real operations, so that during real mobilisation troops can have combat capabilities before the main supply transport arrives. After consuming a portion of the stockpile, the opening of the bunker will be sealed off and you wont be able to tell there was anything there. I suspect its a technique that was learned from the Japanese during WW2. For example: In North East China some farmers would discover sealed off caverns filled with thousands of Japanese army boots of WW2 era but they would only be boots for the left foot, the right foot boot would be hidden elsewhere not too far away. This is so that in case the enemy discovers one stockpile it would not provide much utility to them.

China's military tactics has progressed way beyond those well loved and world famous strategy books.

In fact, even if we discount the fact that sun zi art of war is a required book for westpoint graduates, i think chinese military leadership and thought has always been counted throughout history as a forefront of the world

What do you think of India's 2 front war? Or now a two and a half front war.
What military strategy is that?

I think indian military leadership is rubbish.

no country will want to fight a 2 front war especially with no United Nations security council seat.

india may even end up disintegrating into provinces

I couldn't agree more. A 2.5 front war will just split your forces. India just copied Bill Clinton's "fighting 2 small war" strategy.

It is also very undiplomatic. It sent a message that India wants war with two of India's neighbors.

Indians like to show off and brag to show prowess, Chinese likes to hide their ability to prevent agitation and maintain strategic leverage. Two different ways of thinking. That's why there is no point spying on India, they will brag and you reduce it by a certain magnitude and you get the real situation.

They brag to have the largest army but look at the way the soldiers are fed. Corruption is rampant. In China, corruption is there but they will not dare reduce the fundamentals of military provisions. The same like CCP mandate, they will not fck with feeding the population, that;s the basis of CCP power, feeding the people. In India, they just let the people starve through incompetence and the result is the Maoist movement. The problem will only get bigger as the young unemployed population increases.
