Well bro, I stayed in Marriot, Radisson, Sheraton etc. which are world's famous 5 star and I also stayed in Sea Gull for $45 dollar a night. I did not see much difference though.. Rather I loved the bar of Sea Gull more than other one's.

But you wont get the tranquility of a 5 star in a Resort/tourist town. Most of the services were offered in a rush basis.

They are normal hotels though, no five star. There are not even 50 five stars in whole India! :'(

But anyway better be real architectural beauty than a nice photoshop job(or whatever software they use to make renders)!
