ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan on Wednesday questioned why Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present at the Organisation of Islamic Summit (OIC) held in Istanbul.

“What is CM Sharif doing at OIC Summit in Turkey? Why were the other Chief Ministers not taken along also?” tweeted Imran before launching his tirade at Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, referring to him as a puppet of the Sharif mafia.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrived here to attend the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Al-Quds Al-Sharif on the invitation of President of Turkey.

The prime minister was accompanied by Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and other high officials.

The prime minister and his delegation, upon arrival at the Istanbul International Airport, were received by senior officials of Turkish government, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, Syrus Sajjad Qazi while other senior embassy officials were also present.

The extraordinary summit which is being held on Wednesday, has been called by the President of Turkey in his capacity as the Chair of OIC.

Heads of state and government officials of about 26 Islamic countries were expected to attend the extraordinary summit and would also explore ways to deal with the situation.

Imran Khan should at least focus on the issues of Pakistan in the last year before elections. He has only attacked the PMLN personally throughout his time in the spotlight. His brand of politics is actually not different from Modi's recent campaign in Gujarat.

Send him to next summit as honorary prime minister

Haha. Absolutely true man. We need a calm personality. Pakistan is not France which could survive a revolution intact. We have enemies who are bent on destroying us to enforce their own hegemony. We need a statesman who can combat our enemies in a calculated manner.

He does raise a valid question, what is the point of taking a CM of a province to the OIC summit. Only delegates of federal level should be attending international conferences. Either other provinces are not part of Pakistan or Punjab is a separate country.

Sawal tu banta hai, I asked the in other OIC thread. what was SS contribution? or free trip to attend some personal business or NS do not trust to send Khawaja & Abbasi alone. kuch to hai...

Every one knows who next pm will be.... people like to see commitment that's why he went

This provincial thing ous out of fashion now try religious grounds

100% valid question... since when chief ministers have started to attend the matters of foreign affairs which are subject of the federal govt. Did any other country including the host Turkey send its chief ministers / provincial to the conference?
And if we have to send then why just one..why not all provinces be represented?

How much time does it take to issue a statement on twitter?

Actually if you look at history, revolution sent France into political and economical turmoils and all of its neighbors seized these opportunities to send their armies into France. And the country undergone several major political transformations before becoming a stable Republic. (That took a lot of time in fact)

I agree with your comment but please don't buy the false propaganda by paid trolls of media cell here. IK is a main stream politician with the most popular political party in Pakistan which participates in the elections despite the highly flawed and rigged system. So his revolution is through the democratic and constitutional means which is threatening the corrupt mafia of PPP and PMLn who have been robbing the nation for decades but now they are under the mill of justice and feeling the heat thanks to the untiring legal war by Imran Khan: The great.

Loved your video/thread about Indus Valley.
Thanks for the tag.
Couldn't comment due to 'insufficient privilege' probably cuz I'm a newbie and/or it was in Seniors Cafe.
