PTI lead is spread all over four provinces. They have a better presence in KPK, Karachi and some pockets of Baluchistan as compared to PMLN. The battleground is Punjab where PMLN has gained its lost grounds in the martial belt of Potohar and the feudal belt of South Punjab.
They seem comfortable in forming the next govt with allies from PDM and PPP in the next elections.
PTI support range varied from 17% to 34 % and currently stands at 29% as per IPOR, not good enough to form the next Govt.
PTI is currently fighting for its life, with threats to its existence lurking around all corners. The month of JULY will be a very interesting one for the political history of Pakistan.

I agree that PTI need a larger percentage to win seats due to FPTP vs. the equivalent requirement for parties like PPP and PML, but it's still a large lead in that poll. And please don't take that 29% at face value, lots of the shortfall is due to higher DK/Undecided category. It's still a 4% lead over the others, he could have a decent chance if the right cards fall into place ahead of the next election -- whenever that may be.

Election rigging can only be done at a national level by spooks, and if the neutrals stay neutral, the only indication we have thus far is that IK is doing better than they are, and that people do not view this setup as legitimate.

The likely scenario for an early election is almost necessarily if the government becomes deeply unpopular and allies start to waiver as a result. I don't think IK can force anything, his march failed as expected, but there's still reason for him to remain confident. As political commentators liked to say in the recent past, wrt to the wafer thin majority that IK had in place, "bas aik chignari ki dair hai", this applies doubly to the mutant coalition.

Agreed. I guess we will have to wait and see when and how the next elections are held, and what are the results. I could say that the next elections will be one of the more important elections in Pakistan's history, given the recent events.

This is what may happen in future!
1) PTI as a party may not exist(might be renamed).
2) IK may be jailed with irrefutable proof of corruption.
3)There will be a leadership battle within PTI resulting in different splinter groups.
4)A huge exodus of remaining electables in PTI will commence this year.
5) The last bastions of KPK, GB and AJK will be overrun.
6)Just like MQM London talking of PTI will be illegal.

There is absolutely no chance of PTI to return in Power, the fan club will continue to exist abroad.

The above may sound ridiculous to many, but this is the plan of the coalition parties.
As they always say if Allah has something else in stock for IK, all the above will just be a daydream. Nevertheless, I will revisit this post in the next few months.

What imaginary ground are you talking about? If PML-N had gained ground, they would be going for re-election right now. They know that they will loose big in Punjab due to their corruption, incompetence, and that is why they are trying their level best to delay the election. This time PTI will sweep North and South Punjab, and will take a major chunk of seats in Central Punjab making it the largest party in Central Punjab.

Doubt it. MQM is done, PTI should comfortable take all of MQM's seats in Karachi and Hyderabad.
