Imran Khan can’t win election if institutions remain neutral: Bilawal Bhutto

.
The above may sound ridiculous to many, but this is the plan of the coalition parties.
Haha what a "plan" of coalition parties that are standing in govt with only 2 votes majority 🤣🤣🤣

A common enemy is the biggest uniting force. As long as PTI and Imran Khan attacks all other parties, they will unite against him
Yes, PTI will attack all the parties. Why would it sit with any party especially those that backstabbed it during crucial NCM vote? Solo flight is difficult but still better than these backstabbing allies

The next battle will be between the two old rivals after IK is taken care of permanently. :enjoy:

Imran Khan is only defending Pakistan. It is the other parties that are attacking Pakistan.

Golden opportunity to return to the parliament and dislodge this Govt!
Yes, PTI will attack all the parties
Politics is an art of winning hearts and not harping like a wild beast all day.

This SIKHA SHAHI attitude is the real down fall of IK.

  • Bilawal says Imran wants institutions to not play their constitutional roles.
  • Says some elements or ‘puppets’ like Imran Khan present in Sindh.
  • Bilawal claims in next phase of local body election, PPP will again make a clean sweep.
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Wednesday said former prime minister Imran Khan knew that he could not win the election if institutions remained neutral and this is why he is running a campaign so the institutions can act controversially as his ‘Tiger Force,’ Geo News reported.

While speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto said this is the reason Imran Khan has been complaining on why the institutions are apolitical and neutral.

“Imran Khan wants institutions to not play their constitutional roles,” he added.

He also responded to the allegations of rigging in the recent local government elections in Sindh in which PPP emerged victorious and led by a clean majority.

Bilawal said there were some elements, parties or ‘puppets’ like Imran Khan present in Sindh, who always supported dictatorship.

“In local government elections, these elements were expecting that the institutions will not be apolitical and they will be controversial but it did not happen,” he added.

Bilawal Bhutto went on to say that such elements were worried during LG polls because institutions like the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and others, who take interest in elections, are now neutral and remained apolitical.

“Whenever there is a level playing field, PPP always performs well in the elections,” he said, adding that, “all opposition parties are well aware of the fact that in the next phase of the local body election, PPP will again make a clean sweep and opponents will find no place to escape and their bails will be confiscated.”

Bilawal Bhutto further said that PPP had been struggling to strengthen democratic norms in the country for the last three generations.

PTI need new allies. Old allies were too unreliable. And after their defection to PDM during crucial NCM vote, they simple can't be trusted

If Imran wants to be a more successful politician, then he should have more emotional maturity to decide on how to deal with other parties. Making alliance of convenience with others is necessary in a multi party system. As polls repeatedly show, combined PDM has more support than PTI. If this trend should continue, then Imran will find it very difficult to keep his party together after loosing next election. Only mature and savvy politicians can keep party together after loosing power. Do you think that Imran has the game for it? :pop:

I do not expect anything less from PTI supporters. But if polls are to be taken seriously, then PTI does not have the necessary simple majority in vote share to afford this hardline position.

PTI is currently fighting for its life, with threats to its existence lurking around all corners. The month of JULY will be a very interesting one for the political history of Pakistan.

We saw how the Faustian bargain turned out last time: he got nothing done and got backstabbed in the end.

He needs to stay on message and maintain ideological purity, but you are right that it is an uphill battle against the ethnicity-focused mindset prevalent in Pakistan. Hopefully, the younger generation and social media will bring change.

Lol so there will be less inflation right before the next general elections? How will imported govt achieve that? With time inflation increases not decreases 🤣

All of that remains to be seen. Inflation can, and does, go up and down, depending on a whole array of factors.

This is what may happen in future!
1) PTI as a party may not exist(might be renamed).
2) IK may be jailed with irrefutable proof of corruption.
3)There will be a leadership battle within PTI resulting in different splinter groups.
4)A huge exodus of remaining electables in PTI will commence this year.
5) The last bastions of KPK, GB and AJK will be overrun.
6)Just like MQM London talking of PTI will be illegal.

There is absolutely no chance of PTI to return in Power, the fan club will continue to exist abroad.

The above may sound ridiculous to many, but this is the plan of the coalition parties.
As they always say if Allah has something else in stock for IK, all the above will just be a daydream. Nevertheless, I will revisit this post in the next few months.
I can only agree that everyone earns their comeuppance, but beyond all of the above bold predictions, what do you think happens to the the 30-odd percent of Pakistan's electorate that support this party, some fraction of which are die hard supporters? They can diminish, but I don't see them disappearing. IK has created not just a party but collected the constituency from the urbanite and middle classes, these folks have a very specific type of politics and his is currently the ONLY major party capable of servicing the political ideas of this class. They do not view other parties with credibility.

I'm not saying IK will definitely win the next election, but counting him out, and saying all the above is a bit deluded in my view.

The politics of his constituency is galvanised by the man himself, his public image and charisma, but its foundations are in years of political narrative building against the established political dynasties, against political corruption, pro urban and middle-class development, they are also the result of the foreign policy and national identity narrative crafted post-1971 and intensified every coming decade. This whole political segment is not just going to evaporate. Far from it.

Backstabbing in politics is as old as politics itself. Politics in a multi ethnic, multi party set up is not for the faint of heart. This is why a politician in the sub continent does not only have to be a good administrator, but also a savvy diplomatic political tactician. Every party and every coalition will have enemies within who are waiting for a chance to become turncoat for the right price. Not everyone can be cut out for this job. If Imran Khan had won 2018 elections outright without any help from establishment, then I would not doubt his prowess.
