Important: Negotiations with several countries, including Egypt, to purchase JF-17 Thunder fighter

Salaam

The whole thread got hijaked by this pointless bickering. How unfortunate.

Anyways, what would an order of this size mean for Pakistan as a shareholder in the project?

Any information about the other countries mentioned?

What missiles are being offered with it atm?
Well the advantages around the financial side Iwould have to defer to people who know licensing better. However it will mean that funding for future iterations will be secure. It will mean that alternative avionics, engines and weaponry will become available to supply some of these markets. It also means PAF flight instructors at the flight school will be clocking up quite a few hours training the new pilots.

In short better equipment for PAF
More flight training for PAF pilots
More money for PAF to play with.

The missile will be the SD10

The Indian troll is firstly dissing on Pakistani sources that say that we manufacture 50% or more but at the same time quoting Indian source for Bra-Mouse manufacture.
Retarded hypocrites

. .
That means Egypt is well aware of PAC's only contribution is painting a Chinese designed, Chinese made aircraft in green with some cheap Chinese paint and hence want to procure directly from China
What has India produced on her own other that TATA NANO?
Still your soldiers are using obsolete guns at the border, the food that is served is also not at par, Naval assets that you are producing can not be inducted for years due to poor workmanship. So PAF also proved how good HAL has done on 27th when your flagship Russian aircraft assembled at HAL were shot down guess the paint job even was not enough to camouflage them.

Not going good ... So here is TEJAS went into hiding because IAF knows its only a plane on paper.

I am ok with no Sale to Egypt as they appear to be Anti Turkey
From a strategic point of view Egypt's stance has been not clear to predict

Egypt need to have clear alignment on friendly ties with Turkey before the Thunder can be sold to Egypt

Sale to Eygpt is long overdue... as is assembly line there. Block III is a true step-up in the game.

Azeris are another one lingering in the background. 36 Thunders in Azeri colours is not that far fetched.

Iraq needs to be culitvated..both military and civil diplomacy needs to wake-up ... we have long neglected this important country.

Nigeria needs to replace their F7/Mig21s... the best option is JF...and the process has strated.

Malaysia is 50-50... so let us hold our breath on this one.

GCC countries can be high value cutomers...but that would require a broader Strategic Economic & Security Framework.

PMIK can be the best salesman for JF Thunder.... a tag team action of Civilian and Military Leadership needs to playout.

Anyhow, when the Block III is produced... the Block I can begin to be replaced...these older JFs can be sold to African countries... and BlockIII/V can replace these...

JF is the grand daddy of aviation industry in Paksitan... from it shall evolve AZM and 5th Gen birds.

We are doing alright... let us not overstate neither should we be dismissive of our emerging capabilities.

Long game!

What about Turkey. they also have lots of old F-4 jets to replace after 2020.

JF-17 with Turkish radar, EW and weapons for Turkish airforce.

.
Obviously. PAC&TAI have signed an agreement.

This would be truly a strategic move if there is integeration in Turkish-Pak defence production... but to sell JF we need to be part of TFX as well.

So decision is not only technical... but strategic...

PAF officials already on record that they are looking TFX very closely.

PAF is interested in J-20 while China says still it is not for export, on other hand J-31 is light weight. PAF might go for TFX and J-31 as TFX is still 8-10 years away..

Let me raise this important geopolitical question.

What this sale will do to the security of Israel?

Obviously the weapons package is not known, but logic says, that Egypt will go for SD10 and perhaps PL15 BVR, plus the stand off weapons like these:

Considering the Isreali landmass and its depth, Pakistani two decades old SOW weapons like H4 can strike 100+ kms.

Also considering how JF17 performed during OP swift retort against India who is armed to teeth with latest Isreali systems, and made them redundant, should also be an eye opener. And that was done by block 2s. Egypt I believe wants block 3s.

From Pakistani perspective, this deal is very important to hammer home the Isreali establishment that there are repercussions in their reckless support to India.

indeed, JF-17 will give full power to be independent of sanctions and JF-17 will have more teeth as compare to egyptian F-16 which are unable to fire BVR missiles..

The issues between Egypt and Turkey are not fundamental in nature, just temporary.

Besides, China and Turkey have some issues as well (which will be resolved soon hopefully) so the point isn't too relevant.

This sale will have ZERO impact on Isl security... Eygptian Rafaels don't either....

Eygpt is Isl strategic security partner...so no war is going to happen between the two....

We need to wake up...to ground realities...

Dassault is a Zionist controlled entity , ofcourse Rafael will have zero impact on Israel. HOWEVER, JF17 is completely different ball game, loaded with weapon systems that Israel and any western power have no clue about.

Yes today Sissi Egypt is allined with zionst controlled western block, but Egypt as a nation by in large got nothing to with this alignment. No one knows what future holds.

At the end of the day, countries prepare themselves against the capabilities in their area of interest, not the intentions. JF17 will represent this capability that Isreal has no answer or control over. Jf17 performance on 27th feb against Isreali supplied systems to India is an eye opener.

IF TRUE, strategically it would be a coup de grace. The fact that EAF buys from China means it will have chinese avionics which may be different from the Pak ones.
The significance of EAF having TOT means it can become the heart of the Acrican hub which the Chinese have been trying to cultivate for some time. It would be easy for nations to get their overhauling done in Egypt then sending lanes back to China/Pakistan.
