What's new

IMF is not willing to sign the contract without the opposition party.

What sovereignty? Once IMF dictates domestic economic policy, it is surrender without war. The agreement signed by the Government is the surrender document. The only good thing is there were no guns or bombs. IMF is the modern-day East India Company.

any way they can not demand guarantee from each and every quarter .

They have no use for guarantee. Their modus operandi with Pakistan is simple. They will release part of the funds. If there is any deviation from the agreed terms, money will stop coming and they will keep the phone off hook for a year or so. By then, hell will freeze over again, and shrieking will start.

Pakistan is now officially among north Korea and Myanmar
Indeed only two other countries in the world have a similar penchant for fatalism and a willingness to burn the whole house down so as to preserve the continued dominance of the military-establishment led ruling elite. Pakistan now joins this exclusive group. Although, unlike Pakistan, neither Myanmar nor NK have an additional compulsion and disadvantage of placing the colonial agenda at a higher pedestal than their own national interest. This is what makes Pakistan's downward trajectory with no path forward towards reform and development that much more difficult to course correct.

In short, Pakistan is more screwed than Myanmar and NK.

How dumb can Pakistan get? Whilst the queues at DHA Tim Horntons has broken all records, the country is begging for a small loan which will keep it in the ventilator for a few more months. Pakistan seriously needs to take a look at itself in the mirror. The jahil awam needs to realise that until they don't organise a mass uprising, Jack sh1t is going to change.

The best course of action for the leadership to take right now is to tell the IMF to f off and send them packing. Make a unilateral decision to repay the IMF the principle that is due over a time period sustainable for Pakistan. No interest. Furthermore, get our industries going and focus on exports as well has home grown products to feed the domestic markets. It really isn't rocket science, but it seems that the Lumber 1 generals and top elitist are he'll bent of keeping the population subservient and not willing to take on the economic hitman.

The problem is inept politicans and their mismanagement and the burden of the poor and lazy in Pakistan which is well over 100 million people.

Don't blame the hard working minority who want to visit a coffee shop. You want them to eat donkey burgers on a dirty street corner?

So that means no loan for Pakistani awam. PTI would rather watch their country burn than to be on a discussion table to settle for a amicable solution.
PTI's condition for any negotiations is a date for next elections, which is max due October this year anyway so having early elections is a reasonable demand as already a huge seats have been vacated. According to constitution Pakistan has to go to early general elections which current gov is avoiding till they can disqualify PTI on any pretext.

I see imf didn’t even ask these billionaires to curb their lavish lives and protocols and securities etc

Just passing the costs to the poor so these khanzirs can still live lavishly. Imf doing it on purpose with all these imf/wef agents

That's called defaulting

Which also means you can't import anything as you can't open LC.

I.e no import of raw material

Problem with Pakistani is they are spoil brats who have act like TLP.

Correct course is accept IMF terms and stabilize the economy then decrease spending aggressively and increase exports build a large reserve and don't play with fire i.e do what bengaldesh did .it felt it might be in toruble with 50b reserves so it went to IMF at it own terms unlike Pakistan with negative 20b$ reserves.

Problem is people and more importantly army won't get it..they didn't get it when Ik was doing 1% reforms
How will they get with 100% reforms needed

Pakistan needs to cut it's army in half
Privatize all good clubs and sell all large govt and corps commanders large mansions or make them museums with a ticket

Pakistan needs tap it's private sector

Hence country is screwed
