It is likely that the US would retain some bases in Afghanistan. And in addition to that, US Navy's 5th Fleet is stationed in Bahrain along with many bases in the Gulf Emirates. US Marines and Navy's primary areas of operation are Pacific and Indian Oceans. They are staying here and are not going anywhere in near future.

Agreed. But the developmental approach and the military strategy is different. China enhances its A2/AD capability and the US endeavours to counter the Chinese A2/AD efforts.

This Indian "Think Tank" IDR was the same Think Tank that predicted China would collapse in the 2008 credit crunch, in an article called "The Fall of the Dragon".

And the author Bharat Verma was the same guy who famously predicted that "China would attack India before 2012".

Do these people have no shame, after all their predictions turned out wrong?

Few predictions are made to work as deterrence. I see objective in both of his failed predictions. Before using harsh adjectives one should mind how media reports and analysis are disseminated in Pakistan and China as well.

As far as this particular analysis is concerned then very Pakistani analysts have been talking about the same concerns on their national channels. Pakistani for obvious reasons will come hard at this piece, BTW.

Also this this same Dude is the Chairman of a Hindu Radical Organization Called RSS. Its Funded by RAW and CIA.......Once a TV channel in Pak taken him live on Phone and he literally started abusing Pakistan

The truth is as long as India is content with such radical minds this region cant get peace even if what he claims become reality.

Didn't V.K. Singh recently admit that India provided financial aid to Baloch separatist groups?

And they are still hosting the Tibetan government in exile as well.

The biggest problem facing Pakistan is it's internal security situation and the dire state of the economy which is leading to civil unrest and gang wars in Karachi where the murder rate is off the charts! India's biggest concern is terrorist activity from Pak held Kashmir or another Mumbai attack which would result in zero gains for both countries.

There is no ''terrorist'' activity in our Areas Period!!! They r the most peaceful place in entire Pakistan.
