If India supports freedom in Crimea, why not in Kashmir?

Mate, there were insurgents in Kashmir who wanted to take the land by force, since the King was not interested in neither joining India nor Pakistan, he wanted something along the lines of Bhutan. But Pakistan feared that a Hindu king will not work in its interest so when negotiation failed they used the method they even use today, which is insurgency. And because of this the King fearing his own life went to the British who then turned him to India.

I really fail to understand if you can't manage your one state country, why did you ask for Independence?
You could have stayed with India or at least Pakistan.
