If India makes more long-range ICBMs, Beijing may help Pakistan do the same, says Chinese state media

NEW DELHI: Beijing wants to communicate the message that if India increases the number of its long-range missiles, it will help "all-weather friend" Pakistan do the same, Chinese media said.

The context to this comment was India's final test firing of the Agni-IV+ inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday.

"If the UN Security Council has no objection over this (ICBMs), let it be. The range of Pakistan's nuclear missiles will also see an increase," the state-run Global Times said in an editorial, hinting that China will help Pakistan come on par with India.

News outfits in China are often used by the government to convey its opinions or to test the waters or to deliver rebukes it can't through diplomatic channels.

Global Times's editorial further batted for Pakistan saying it should be accorded the same nuclear privileges as India.

"If the Western countries accept India as a nuclear country and are indifferent to the nuclear race between India and Pakistan, China will not stand out and stick rigidly to those nuclear rules as necessary. At this time, Pakistan should have those privileges in nuclear development that India has," the editorial said.

Now i am Waiting for India to Test Agni V and see how things go from there

.
Pakistan already has chinese long range missile which cover India....anyway we are scared and will not make single missile after number reaches to 500...

. . .
Considering Pakistan's current missile already cover main land India I doubt it would affect India much. But it will sure to piss off the Western nations so please go right a head.

.
Yawn...Nothing new. China is already helping Pakistan for years and will continue to do.

But an interesting observation here is that by publishing the article in Global Times someone is seriously bothered about Agni missile.

.
I see millions of minority insurgencies group in India fight for their independence if the chance arises.

Proxies have been exposed and are being crushed daily as they are operating from across the borders.

Republic of India is already under 3 tier Missile defense shield . Both Missile launchers and interceptors are being placed.

makes sense that Pak should also have the ICBMs....when too many countries have them, it will pave the way for concrete and joint efforts for more secured world for everyone otherwise it will create a lot of uncertainty and unsecured atmosphere..security and sovereignty must be assured for all and not just for some five countries....UNSC reform is the only ray of hope for global peace and equality! ..A small country in Africa must have a say to Say NO to Uncle Sam if he proposes to invade another Iraq and that vote must have the same weightage as of France or Britain for example!

You are having wrong info .

The design of APSARA, a pool type reactor, using enriched uranium fuel was conceptualized in 1955. The reactor, built with indigenous effort, attained first criticality at 1545 hrs on Saturday, August 4, 1956 and this event marked the beginning of what is today acclaimed internationally as the success story of Indian nuclear programme. Later, on January 20, 1957, the reactor was dedicated to the nation and named as APSARA by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Yes my information is wrong even though when i have cited it while on the other hand you expect me to believe the above and take your word for it? Quit arguing for the sake of it specially when you have nothing to back it up with.

...but Pakistan already has India covered, who will be those ICBMs for....China?

.
I hope Pakistan develops an ICBM. We are already capable of fighting regional threats, let's make it global.

To give us more international power rather than regional.
