Identity crisis - how do we fix this?

Havent tried Haleem. Will give it a go.

Have had Chapli Kebab. Really yum.

Have made it at home a few times too - Laziza brand masala

Oh its not the same mate but its better than nothing. If you ever get a chance to go to Pakistan, make sure you visit Peshawar and try namkeen gosht and channa paya.

Trust me when I say that Indians can't even make daal decently.

Thats not true. My friends wife makes amazing vegetarian food. I reckon no one can make better vegetarian dishes than Indians.

P.S. except vege biryani. I have never had a good vege biryani

Not true. Indians can't make daal for shit. It's always watery with haldi color. Pakistani Punjabis actually make the best vegetarian dishes. Have you ever tried kerayla gosht in Pakistan? It's absolutely delicious. Indians don't even have that dish. LoL

Yes i have had keryla gosht, but thats not a vegetarian dish. I am talking about proper vegetarian dishes. Plus you might have got a bad daal experience, my personal experience is contrary to yours.

Oy pangi lahoriya, gaal siddi kar ya dafaa ho. Awein logon da waqt zaya karda pir da.
I saw you once eating lahori donkey meat and then rolling in front of same restaurant in soil.

After soil bath, you went back to restaurant and demanded Brazilian frog eggs, fried in turtle oil.

Why don't people check the website of this restaurant mentioned in op?

The website is full of praises and promotion for India ........ well may be that mid 40s guy really is an indian unless he showed proof of his identity being Pakistani .....

You might have a limited exposure of Punjab and actual food from the villages as opposed to the cities. I can guarantee that Punjabis make the best vegetarian dishes in all of the region. I've yet to taste any saag that an Indian can prepare properly. We are literally farmers and have to live off of what we grow. I think your experiences are very skewed and limited. Just my opinion.

Shouldn't it be easy to differentiate between the two?

I thought Pakistanis were White with Blue eyes and blond hair?

You can try bleach and become Pakistani ....... use color lenses for blue eyes. Is that hard?

The hotel inner decor is full of Indian paintings I guess ....... so can't say for sure if the owner is Pakistani or indian.

Dude there's a 'Café India' in a small *** town in the middle of Ireland with Indian paintings and music. The place is run by some of the friendliest Pakistanis and serves one of the best Chicken Lahoris there is.

It's just clever branding and marketing, not some psychosocial affliction. No different to Chinese restaurants being run by Koreans/Viets etc.
