Featured ICAO may ban Pakistani airlines over pilot licensing issue in 188 countries

PALPA on its knees.. begging govt. to interfere.. time for straightening things up..

.
There will be a solution when it is forced down our throat. They have tried to reform it but the judiciary is protecting the status quo. It is also creating hurdles in privatization, on behest of ppp.

How does local law interfere with International Law? Surely international Law takes precedence, I know that it is the executives responsibility to enshrine international law into local law. So is the judiciary over reaching its mandate?

If it was the UK government even incompetents like Johnson would rub their hands together for such an opportunity. They can get the deed done and lay the blame on ICAO. I don't think there is political will to get it done. If there was it should have happened months ago when the crash happened and the first ban came in effect.

The problem of PTI is bad mouthing. All PTI ministers speaks first and acts later. The fake pilots should have been banned with making noise.

So what's the holdup now. They have lost face internationally, only thing that will instill confidence is either scrapping or PIA as it is or revamping it. Is just banning pilots enough, that is no solution - its just a bandaid on a deep wound.

Why we should ban trade unions?? The pilot who was on that Karachi plane was not fake degree holder.

PCAA is not producing quality pilots and is not maintaining international standards. It is quite evident from what transpired on that ill fated day. It needs major overhaul and reforms. If a pilot is found breaching protocols he should be fired but no they got unions to protect them.
These are no ordinary labour unions these are cash cows for political parties, just political appointees who got hired by paying for the slot, stopping any meaningful reforms and creating hurdles in every step for betterment.
If you look into the drug trafficking cases against PIA and the involvement of crew, you will get a clear picture of what's wrong with PIA.

This is a positive development and will aid the government in bringing reforms which are being opposed by politicized judiciary especially SHC, stay order over stay order to protect these leeches.

Bro do you really think it is that simple? Do you not follow the news how these unions even challenged even air marshal appointment in courts when he tried to bring reforms :D They only got fired because of the public sentiment as a result of them getting exposed in the backdrop of crash.

It does on behest of political characters.

Trade unions are there to protect rights of their members but PALPA never asked PCAA to issue fake licenses. PCAA is inefficient so PALPA should be penalized??
All the bad things started after ministers speech.

I will correct you bro 'All the bad things got exposed after ministers speech'.
PALPA has a great influence on PCAA. PCAA like PALPA is very much compromised. Anyways the reforms are being opposed actively by PALPA. It was PALPA actively covering up the fake license issue before minister made it public.
You can never have a profitable PIA as long as politicized labour unions are there.

We had the same issue here with politicised trade unions and your observation is correct. Trade unions only work if they are not politicised, this is not the case anywhere in the world. Once these organisations are politicised they eat up the institution from within by unrealistic demands. Also all these bad things would have gone on if the minister had not exposed them.

If the system was strong enough to act against this (which it is not) the minister was in the wrong, the system is rigged so the only way favourable change will come is by exposing these kind of activities. Kudos to the minister.

This is not only about PIA but whole aviation industry of Pakistan is at stake.
sir its not about private or gov airlines its about pilots those whom killed hundreds of innocents people /kid/elders .

bhuja fata crash
air blue fatal crash
pia fatal crashes

its about us . did you see that stupid women pilot ? she crash landed an ATR and come out talking to mobile like she did a great work ? letter inquiry finds she was landing hot ? they are killers not pilots .

.
I think this is an issue of big mouth PTI Minister who screwed the PIA, its pilots and reputation of Pakistan. Apni izzat khud bejjat karayi.

PMIK too has crossed limits and owned up things that hurts when FATA came calling.

But ultimately its failure of the bureaucracy to not brief the politicians.

we are happy to send all of them to india

PPP controlled senate fought to keep fake degree pilot

PMLN members have been appointing their family members who are not even qualified

The two parties ruined PIA with their nepotism and corruption. With this verdict, hopefully we can get rid of these corrupt people and restore PIA to its glory days.

Air Blue pilot was a seasoned pilot same as Karachi incident pilot. I am not against banning fake pilots but it should be done professionally, not doing by political point scoring.

The national airline, in a statement to local media, said that Mushahidullah’s brothers were not given jobs on his directives, giving a clean chit to the senator.

go away indian

we dont need your advise here

we will manage ,,

That's a wrong attitude accept the short fallings and take a good advise even from your enemy. Firstly things are run on the wrong track and then a loud mouth minister good for nothing goes out thinking he is throwing the dirt on the opposition and he will look good in doing that without thinking the consequences. Every one thinks in Pakistan he is right and its not his problem and others should have done it taking and owning up to the responsibility is not in our DNA. Then what are these minsters selected for and what are they doing getting the pay checks that's all.
Enough time have passed since the fiasco came out and now and very little have been done to address the issue like FATF until it went out of our hands.
World bodies have advised us their is a problem and we should know the consequences for not addressing the issue. Other countries don't want to see our planes falling off the sky on their lands and those safety measures and complying with pilot licences standards are for reasons and not depended on our ministers and wishful thinking airline employees and people.
