What's new

IAF violated Pakistan air space| Forced to return

IAF was just checking to see if Pakistanis are asleep, too busy to notice, or wide awake and alert.

If the GoP responds in kind, the public will have their say. PAF has the best pilots, and inshaAllah when push comes to shove, it will be PA and PAF that annihilates the Indians. only if they desire ofcourse ;)

The last full scale war (1971) does not support these fantastic assertions.

They desire it all the time, only they don't have the capability.

Then it should be no problem to take over Pakistan and finally realize that fantasy of Akhand Bharat. :cheesy:

Remember 2002?

The objective was to sniff radar positions on each sides so that they can take counter measurements for the actual strikes.. We can hope more such attept will be happened in comming days..
I thiink Mirage would be getting used for this mission..

They would send reconnaisance aircrafts for that kind of business. Why fighter aircraft? Reports from Pakistan specifically say they were 'fighter' aircrafts and fully armed(like they were able to see the arms.:flame::lol: Actually I am not sure how arms of an aircraft are detected. I believe they are 'seen' only if another rival fighter sees or an enthusiastic watcher watches from the ground with a binoculars(also highly improbable considering the power of 'eyes' he needs for this.). Are there other ways? Somebody help me out here.).

Don't you know they use very advance radar designed and developed by joint venture with their big ally... I heard that these radars are so powerful that they can even detect pilot flying that plane and can do brain mapping of pilots also:argh::rofl:..

Dude the last full scale war happened where we had no land contact and were divided by thousands of miles of hostile territory, lets see how far India goes this time.

We don't want to take over Pakistan. What do we get other than a load of problems?

What about 2002? I remember it resulted in that Musharraf speech and drastic reduction in terror in Kashmir.

Musharraf gave the speech right after the incident in mid December. His speech was early Jan.

Your boys stood at our doorsteps for another 10 months till October.

Then chickened out and ran home. I remember the Indians kept killing themselves, started killing their superiors and many supply depots caught fire, so on.

That is very true they were just checking our response time nothing else. Not very wise of them.
dear sir,

It would make lot of sense if IAF was checking PAF reponse time. This sort of assesment would help then in any future surgical strike or full blown assult with some 100 Su 30 mki...enter pakistani air space.

Anyway most indian dont believe GOI gonna anything remotely that adventurous before running out of all options.

But they do all believe in imagination GOP,when it comes makeing stupid claims.

we are still smarting from statements like "Larry,We have not been given any tangible proof to say that he is definitely a Pakistani. I very much doubt it, Larry, that he is a Pakistani." by president Zardari of pakistan on cnn.

and GoI is still recoving from an accusation by GOP that our FM made a call threatening no less than president of pakistan of millitary action forcing GOP put its military on highest alert.

you see truth always been casualty in Indo-pak relations.

First of all, it was all a political decision, both to deploy and then pull back the troops. So there is no question of the troops chickening out!

Second, I think the major objective was to maintain pressure on Pakistan. That aspect did not fail overall. Pakistan did scale back on the intrusions in Kashmir and gave public commitments for the first time.

I guess the deployment continued for a while to ensure the commitments were kept. It was never meant to be indefinite.

The lessons from the prolonged deployment were learnt and corrective actions taken. That shows agility and willingness to learn from mistakes.

Signs of a living and breathing organization! I will say a very good sign.

Whatever floats your boat. We all saw it as India blinking first.
