With the US backing ,India is seriously considering to take on the Chinese head on(In Dreams) ,an act that has far larger repercussions that most BABOOS in Delhi fail to comprehend. India is trying to change the men and the machines that are currently serving it in HASTE. At this juncture the Indians are still not confident of their abilities, any wrong move and bad advice may crumble their whole EDIFICE beyond repair. Below is the article on the new appointment.

"Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary has been named as the new head of Western Air Command of Indian Air Force, which looks after the country’s defence in North India, including Ladakh region where Indian Army has been in a tense military stand-off with the Chinese PLA for the last three months.

Air Marshal VR Chaudhary, who is currently serving as senior air staff officer in Eastern Air Command, will take over from Air Marshal B Suresh, early next month.
Air Marshal Chaudhary already has the experience of handling China border as he has been heading Shillong based Eastern Air Command since October last year. Air Marshal Chaudhary also played crucial role in finalizing the government-to-government deal with France to acquire 36 Rafale fighters to meet the urgenl operational needs of Indian Air Force.
His appointment as chief of the WAC comes when Indian Air Force has been trying to support Indian Army as it faces an aggressive Chinese PLA in Galwan Valley region. Indian Army has lost one colonel and 19 soldiers in a violent face-off with Chinese Army in Galwan Valley region on June 15 in which an unconfirmed number of Chinese soldiers were also killed."

Nobody has been removed. Air Marshal Balakrishnan Suresh's birthdate is July 1960 so he is 60 yrs now (superannuation age for 3 star officers) and is retiring on 31st July.
Air Marshal Chaudhari will be his successor.
He resumed his office on 1st November 2019, after a few months down the line he is changed. Normally under tense situations command changes are deferred.

An odd decision, given the circumstances that India finds itself in. It looks like India is hedging all its bet on the Rafale, and anyone associated with it are being bought together in one to face off China.

Additionally, PAF has beefed up Skardu with JF17s, which potentially will have to face off with the Rafale. No rush of F16s to Skardu, shows how much confidence PAF has in this bird right now.

It does suggest a repeat order of Rafales coming to India. Question is, will India attempt to buy Rafales direct from the French airforce inventory to shore up its defences? Given the decisions and procurements, I think that is a possibility.

Nonsense, rather it is business as usual in IAF, those who are suppose to retire are retiring and those who are suppose to get promoted are getting promoted.
This shows tensions with China have no bearing on command descions.

Come on man. You could've waited for at least two or three smart replies before popping the bubble.

He meant he dint get 3 years extension like generals in neighborhood .... for some extension is business as normal so the transfers on time and retirements are kind of shocker for them.

But I agree to an extent that some heads must roll in Defense ministry

Even Chuck Norris won’t be able to help Indian Airforce now. Ever since their Raptor of the East was shot down. No matter what airplane the IAF gets now, their morale will not rise to the level it was on. Mainly because our PAF boys have instilled them with FEAR. It is evident from their posturing post feb27th.

Even if they manage to get used 20 Rafales apart from the first delivery batch, That will practically change nothing, UNLESS They go for F-35.

IAF has been sleeping like a lazy dog for decades and incompetent people are heading it.

To fight in a modern environment, You have to have a modern training and skillset as well as material, Even then, You need at least 5-7 years of Practical experience.

Feb 27 was a clear indicator of how poorly trained IAF is as well as their doctrine and strategies and Tactics.

Any further escalation in ladakh especially In Aerial Arena, India knows it that they will see even worse results than Feb 27 Coz the CHEENIS won’t be as humble as PAF command that let go off other locked 10-15+ targets out of pure humbleness.

PLAAF and Chinese are very aggressive people, They are like

“F*CK Consequences, Beat the hell out of them while you can”

IAF knows this.

@The Eagle Would love to hear your thoughts on the India-Chinese Aerial comparison arena Brother
