this is what we know so far. Unless someone provides a strong evidence that there was an ECM pod, we are going to go with the belief that there were two R77, because we recovered TVC of R-77 that was burnt up. it was very close to the wing that was burnt badly.

I have been reading since morning and apparently mig 21 was carrying 2 R73, 2 R77 and one EFT as said by @balixd in my opinion.

What you say? Do you agree with this configuration?

I did notice this one, but wasn't sure if it was just remains of the attachment or what. Thrust control section was found very close to the damaged wing, means the rocket was exploded....look at the condition of wing....R-73 barely survived.....
