You guys can't even evict 30-40 Chinese soldiers from the Indian Occupied Ladakh and your air force is dreaming of a two front war?

Pakistan alone can take on India (and very proudly has done so many a times) and you're dreaming of engaging the Chinese Armed Forces?

You cannot understand it, right? It happens regularly in these areas since there is no straight line going through the border area like on the LOC! There are different perceptions on the exact borders. No one would simply start firing on them.

PAF is getting outdated so no worry on that side. MAin worry is China who will spam 100,000 crap fighters like J10 and JF17, giving them excellent attrition rate. In the end endurance wins over strength.

You are right, and probably what will happen in any war they start - thy believe in human wav, surround your enemy and overwhelm them.

This brings the tally to 37 fighter Squadrons, whereas here being reported as 34 sqdns . Is IAF underplaying it's sqdn strength??

Mig-27 are going to retire in next 2/3 years. Engine problem.
Mig-21 expect Bision version will go too.
Mean while only addition will be atmost 3 MKI Squds + 2 Rafael Squds

Don't u think mig-21, and Mig-27, Jaguars are out of date. we have to more depends on Su-30, miraj and mig-29 etc. meanwhile if war occurs there may be chances of the surprices from both sides to each other.

44 is healthy mark, while 39.5 is must (minimum sanctioned strength ) according to iaf doctrine.

we achieved 44 sqd mark in 1980's

Don't underestimate capabilities of Mig-21 , it's good interceptor, it is still good at air-to-air role , we are struggling with it because we couldn't maintain it.

Jaguars are highly upgraded , has good safety record . IAF received last Jaguars in 2003 so it's gone stay till 2025-30.

Can you backup your claims on Mig-27s & Mig-21s ???

27s will be palced in active reserves from 2015 and will be out by 2017. Serious problem with engine .
Only Bision variant will remain till 2017. Not beyond that.

I remember 2/3 years ago Royal Navy was selling form if its hardware. But we never approach them.
