Alleged blasphemy: Mob burns 100 Christian homes in Lahore.........................it's happing all over Muslim world...

Remember Gujrat ?

Remember Gujrat ?

yes , your Muslim brothers burnt train killed 80 child, women and old men then some people killed muslim for revenge.

it's now more than decade ago thing ......you do this every year without any reason/ on hoax with support of Islamic constitution . and bark about decade back one of the exceptional incidents in India.

it was reaction the way Muslims reacting to non-Muslims in your countries.

though still daughters of Muslims are safe as compare to what your vampires did with daughters of non-muslims in pak.

actually if for every non-Muslim killing is pak, every Muslim get killed in India as revenge or if for every non-Muslim daughter every Muslim daughter get kidnapped in India then you will understand the meaning of "Discrimination" ...............

In the start, let us all agree that US is the biggest Satan in the world. CIA & their Mussaad allies are responsible for all the evil prevailing in the Muslim countries. Now let’s discuss the ill treatment of Muslims in general & people with wrong surnames in particular at the US immigration counters and also in the West.

Inhabitants of the Orient go by the maxim that the law is different for the elite and different for the common man. Not so in the West. Here when a policeman stops or arrests drunkard son of the Prime Minister or gives ticket to an MP suspected of prowling the street; he is applauded for doing his duty and the MP resigns out of embarrassment. Whereas in Pakistan the constable, may his boss as well, will lose their jobs for daring to do so.

Regardless of the fact who was responsible for 9/11; US authorities decided to apply certain security measures without considering the niceties. If the agent at the counter has even an iota of suspicion for whatever reason, the traveller will be checked thoroughly without consideration of the fact that he is a famous actor or a dignitary of the foreign country.

This is not meant to be an insult but simply that no stone should remain unturned to ensure safety of the US Citizens which is the paramount duty of the State. It is precisely because of this policy that no other major incidence has taken place in the US since the 9/11/ 2001. On the other hand because in Pakistan, powerful are treated differently; terrorists are able to slip thru the security net and able to carry on killing innocent Pakistanis.

By the way, I suffer similar indignation each time I travel to Kuwait. Even with an entry Visa, Kuwait immigration won’t let me thru the gates. Despite travelling on the UK passport, because I was born in Pakistan; my passport is scanned to the Mukhabaraat (Intelligence) who get it cleared from the US intelligence. It takes more than one hour each time. Why only blame the US?

The above is not in praise of the US but only to state that extra ordinary times need extra ordinary measures. Personally, I will rather spend 2 hours at the airport getting thoroughly checked than be blown up by a bomb.

It is the wrong mind-set that irks the people of the subcontinent. Once you understand that every one is the same in the eyes of the “LAW” such complains will disappear. Let us also not ignore the fact that majority of the suicide bombers in Pakistan are in fact Pashtuns having the ‘Khan’ surname.

The guy needs to grow up, he needs to adapt. Most people with the surname "Khan" get questioned at US ports, I have been as well, on several occasions. Who cares! If he doesn't like it and has the capability, he should protest by taking ALL his business out of the US.

I did the same. I used to import huge quantity of Hazelnut and other commodities from the US, after they annoyed me twice, I changed to alternatives. I know it means squat, however, every ten million counts. :D

On the other hand, if you are an economic migrant, then don't whine. Learn how to live with the law of the land.

if this guy (irrfan) is so regretful of his surname on his passport and identity cards....

get a name change application form and get his surname changed !!!!!!!!!!! :azn: why create a fuss !!!

Its a little crazy .. this victim mentality Muslims across the world nowadays use for the purpose of publicity and what not. I agree its sad that Muslims are stereotyped.. But that's the reality. Got to learn to live with it till the ones responsible for creating this stereotype are not eradicated..

I mean the last 2-3 incidents of theft in my locality are found to have been committed by fruit vendors, then pretty obviously the security establishment of my RWA will look at all vendors entering the locality with suspicion and will tighten the security around their entry and exit. Does that mean all those vendors are guilty.. Hell.. No.. But then the residents of the locality are well within their rights to take whatever steps necessary to protect themselves.. And if some of those vendors find it intolerable, they can really go and sell else where.. No one is forcing them to come here.

Same applies .. You dont like the way US treats you, dont go there.. Why b itch and moan about it and still make a beeline to the US embassy at the first chance to apply for a visa..

Remember, its their country.. Their rules. They don't come to Pakistan and question Pakistan's rules about only allowing muslims to occupy certain positions or Indian laws about caste based reservations.

completely agreed

I understand the argument: "I want to be treated special because I'm a movie star!" - I just don't think that attitude merits respect. The "terrorism list" - available for download at the U.S. Treasury web site - is long, complicated, and has many "Khans" on it in many forms. It take time to check this stuff and a Bollywood star simply doesn't register with most Americans. Didn't Imran Khan get stopped as well?

"He asked the officer, If you guys don't trust us, then why give VISA at first place, that Officer said, Are you threatening me."

Yeah, I saw a dreadlocked TSA officer in BWI use that line. Apparently it's gotten to be rather popular.

but can't they remove him from suspect list once he go through extra checking and formalities for for those khans on suspected list ? from his second visit his profile should be updated and he should be treated like a regular passenger than a "suspect khan ".

He's probably not on the suspect list at all! - it just takes time to check that. It's a long and complicated list: you hit "Find" in Acrobat Reader and there are dozens of matches, including aliases.

- from his second visit his profile should be updated and he should be treated like a regular passenger than a "suspect khan ".
I think the "he passed the first time, why not the second" approach was abandoned after 9-11 since it allowed several hijackers to board planes who otherwise might have been stopped.

It sounds like the actor got off easy. He wasn't carrying cannabis or he would have been surrounded by police. If he had tried to smuggle a piece of fruit he would have been surrounded by dogs as well. More than once I've seen a helpless soul surrounded by dogs with their TSA officer barking the order, "Eat it RIGHT NOW or throw it away!" - and those are the lucky ones; the unlucky are those who create the suspicion they brought the fruit in to sell to others: those guys get handcuffed and arrested.

That's not the issue buddy.
If you have suspicion and differentiate on Basis of Religion, that is wrong. Come up with some better excuse. If you say, Sir you are from South Asia, we have to ask you some questions.

He asked the officer, If you guys don't trust us, then why give VISA at first place, that Officer said, Are you threatening me.

Point is why Indian Muslims ? They haven't killed a single American instead they are the victim of paranoia and profiling by US officials because of some Islamic terrorists from KSA, Pakistan etc.

Instead of religion, go by country specific.

If I were Muslim I would have stepped all over the customs guys until they were crushed with words.
Then I would make it my mission to destroy all the people who put me in this place.

I am not one of them and I know they cannot bell the cat out of fear.

Remember Gujrat ?
Yeah Muslim Mob came and locked 58 innocent men, wome and chhildren in a railway coach, and burnt them alive.

A child was found stuck to fan on railway coach as his father/mother tried to keep him above the flames to save him. Alas, the barbaric Mob just had their fun.

What happened next wasn't good, it was also barbaric but it sealed the communal riots for next coming decade.

This happened a decade ago while, on 21st Feb 2013, 200 Hindus homes were torched and women molested in West Bengal. Assam riots started by Muslims and many more few months ago.

Just in your country, over 125 houses of Christians' homes were burnt to ground by crazy mob over blasphemy charge of a drunk Muslim (which I think isn't a Muslim anymore since he was drunk) on a drunk Christian and the Cleric ordered the street justice.

Since start of 2013, as people in Pakistan were short of minorities from other religion to kill, they started killing minority sect of their own religion and over 200 people were killed and don't know how many wounded, handicapped etc.

or should I talk about Bangladesh were blog writers are killed on blasphemy charges, a rule that is against non-Muslims so that they can't disrespect Islam, but nothing is against Muslims so that they can't disrespect other religion.

Should I go on on and on about it ?

Get over Gujarat, it happened 10 years ago and even Indian Muslims have moved on.

Funny you say that, because he wasn't carrying Cannabis, he is an actor who has worked in "The Amazing Spiderman", Oscar Sensation Life of Pi etc. He wasn't a random tourist or normal person, he was a respected actor who came to US to work in a film, and your embassy issued him VISA and I think they did ask what he do and what is the purpose of his visit.

But he was taken aside JUST because his surname was KHAN. May be officials should have seen that he was an Indian Citizen, a nation which has been dealing with Islamic terrorism for 24 years, the same Afghan warriors US raised to defeat Soviet and Pakistan used it against us.

You guys lost 3000 people in 9/11 and waged war against 2 countries, we have lost over 70,000 civilians and 10,000 soldiers in Kashmir alone, all thanks to great CIA and Petrodollars from KSA along with our dear neighbor which raised this monster named Islamic terrorists.

We are still paying because of your mistake and you question Indian citizen ?

ArgoFcukYourself.

Really sorry, for this outburst, but stop playing Morally Self Righteous Nation here. We know what US did and still doing.

India should frisk and take aside each and every American visiting India as we have been victim of terrorism for 24 years and David Headley was from US who was a key part of 26/11 Mumbai attack.

Lets do it with every US citizen with Christian name. Their hypocrisy can only be taught with proactive measure.
