What's new

I was right about total size of BD GDP!

There you you go, another Indian economic genius!

Last year was 2013 by the way!

Exception is not an example, 2011-13 was an exception cause of rupee depreciation. While we are at why not look at figure from before 2011-13 as well.

If a 2 Trillion economy grows by even 1% its 20 Billion dollars, unless you are suggesting that India is growing at 1%, you are wrong.

LOL it will no longer be exception, previous GDP figures of Bangladesh were understated since we were using 1995 base year and India was using 2005 base year. In fact, even now the GDP figures are understated for Bangladesh since India has recently switched to 2011-12 base year while Bangladesh has only started to use 2005 base year.

It was an exceptional case for India not Bangladesh!

You don't need to be a genius to know that a 2 trillion and a 200 billion economy growing roughly at the same rate would have atleast ten times difference in the absolute value added to the gdp of the economy, given there is no drastic change in the currency value, its simple maths.

Bangladesh has its own reasons for sticking to an older base year.

Come on man.. Dont talk bull shit..
We are talking about Nominal gdp.. Base year is used to calculate REAL GDP..

Last year, India added $18 billion and Bangladesh added $20 billion to their GDPs!
Use your brain man.. If Bangladesh can add approximately $120 billion to existing $180 billion in next 5 years, why not India can add $1000 billion to existing $2000 billion.. Provided India and Bangladesh growth rates are almost same..

don't worry my Indian friends bd economy will do better.
I have a good rather very good news for u.Chinese economy is now number 1 passing USA for the first time in almost 150 years.
be happyí ½í¹Œ

bd is smaller then India.let's say it is 20 times bigger than bd.if we spend 3billion more then India needs to invest more then 60 billion.
so that's ur answer.
What type of logic is this??
Will give you an example.. If Bangladesh have 5 guns, India not need 100 guns to defeat Bangladesh.. Even 10 guns are more than enough..

We were not compared our economies.. Just countered the anti India sentiments of the original poster of this thread.. We will be glad to see a prosperous Bangladesh..
China and USA are close with $17 trillion economies.. India is in distant third with $7trillion..again dont worry our Bd friend, we will do better..

Let's be realistic we are not trying to out-do india in absolute terms that would unrealistic considering india has a population over 1.2 billion, and we have a population of just over 158 million plus they also had a huge head start from us, while we had to start from scratch, infact from minus.

We only got our independence in 1971, and had to handle natural calamities, mismanagement, military rule etc, it was all a learning experience for us. Our aim now is to reach and eventually try and exceed indian GDP in per capita terms,

Our objective is to build our nation and get all our people out of poverty, not get bogged into regional politics. In the process of building a strong vibrant economy, we'll be able to afford a strong viable defence.

Report for Selected Countries and Subjects

All this time losers(hint: from neighbouring country) have been arguing with me about total size of BD GDP.

I have been saying for ages that BD GDP is now around 180 billion dollars and the IMF confirms this as it puts BD GDP at 187 billion dollars for this year and GDP/capita at nearly 1200 dollars.

By 2019, it predicts BD GDP to surpass 300 billion dollars and the economy will be growing at a healthy 7% a year 2017-2019.

The time will be soon when BD uses it's economic muscle to build a lethal military to confront any bullying.:guns:

well it's clearly stating that it is just a Estimate, isn't it? according to World Bank Official Data that has been released it's stating as $129.9 Billion, anyway Bangladesh is also growing rapidly
Bangladesh Home

Mumbai is the dirtiest city on Earth, along with Delhi. Anyone who tells you average person earns 18000 per capita need a smack on their face.

Mumbais 1% are what influences the per capita. Average person in India only makes 75 rupees a day, average person in Mumbai must make around 25
says the guy who has never been to Mumbai
I have been to Karachi, Islamabad, and Dhaka
Karachi is dirtier than even Dhaka
Islamabad is pretty clean
but so is New Delhi region of Delhi-NCR

No you will need more guns to defeat us. Because you are surrounded by hostile enemies with out outnumbered guns.
Lets assume India has 100 guns.
China has 150 guns
Pakistan has 50 guns
Number of your enemy gun is 150+50=200>Indian 100

BD has 5 guns. So these 5 guns are enough to beat India. Because India cant move its guns from its hostile enemies

let's say India has 3000 tank in his inventory. can u deploy all tank to attack bd.no that's not possible.u know it even I know it.

.
And these shameless Indians claim that BD'shis would have any interest in migrating to their impoverished land.

Bar Sri Lanka, BD has the strongest economy in the whole of South Asia.

BD looks towards countries like Sri Lanka and Malaysia for inspiration. India was left behind long ago.
