I know I know you think this mother this and that and you think Congress( is that what it is called?) is this and that.

From an outsider's perspective , who can never vote in your elections . But just an observer - I like this guy. I watched and read many of his statements.

He is like an Obama...this is your future India. he really seems like a guy who is above your same old politics. And once again he proves me right with the below. This the maturity I have seen among great leaders. i.e. class act in defeat. I think he is India's JFK...

Talking to reporters after the defeat, Rahul said he would aggressively pursue his plan to transform Congress by engaging with the kind of people who have stayed aloof from the political process by learning from AAP's success. "The Aam Aadmi Party has involved a lot of people who the traditional parties did not involve. We are going to learn from that and we are going to do a better job in a way that you cannot imagine," he said.

btw what is AAM? is just anti corruption? anti corruption is good thing but it is useless as the only agenda. anti corruption is not going to help you w/ 9% growth.... you need a growth party. I like Modi's pro business agenda too

If you are not trolling, then heres my reply.
Talking big and making statements doesnt make him a good leader. He may be a clean and good in person but that does not make him a good politician or leader.
He may want to change traditional politics, but do not have a clue how to do. We will see if he achieves any thing in future. comparing him with Obama, JFK is an insult to common sense.

Rather than reading Pappus comments read what Kejriwal has got to say. You will know the difference...and if you still believe Rahul is a suitable leader...you are most welcome to take him home.

I have met so many people on net on Facebook or in Person. There is a race to be expert in categorizing AAP as nothing. There is little to no effort made by these people to understand AAP. There are many thing it stands for and corruption being one and the biggest one. Corruption is not a small issue reducing corruption itself will solve many problems. If you are implementing a social welfare scheme and there is widespread corruption all your schemes will fail. What is the point of schemes without having delivery mechanism. What politicians are doing is creating schemes which is easier but what is tough is making sure right people get the benefit. So it is important to work on ground like common man not like boss. The AAP represents people who work and not just preach. Congress have shown attitude to common people when expected them to deliver, AAP wants more involvement of common people in decision making. There is lot AAP stands for, in short they are showing the way politics should be done. Rahul Gandhi is zero experience to understand common mans problem, it is Indian tendency to find God's that makes them like Rahul I will not support anyone who has zero practicle experience can only imagine how common people likes. He is King not a leader.

That guy is an idi@t who has been parachuted into the top league of Indian politics solely for his ancestry alone. The guy cannot even repeat the sentences given to him in writing by his hard-working coterie of advisers. It's because you don't get to hear him more often that you don't know about the gaffes that he commits with such regularity. He's not JFK or Obama, but very much like George Bush Jr.

Heck, he's the one responsible for BJP(the main opposition party to Congress) winning handsomely! If the Congress decides to field him as PM candidate, it'll be the best thing that ever happened to the BJP!

To answer you all above.

first re: Rahul. It is an opinion based on his comments. I don't know if he can deliver or not. But reading about him and reading his views , he is sounds like a JFK and Obama. And I get that unless he gets his opportunity - it can't be proved .

Regarding AAP- Although I appreciate the anti corruption stance, but if that is all they are/ Then it is a bogus party.

indian rabbit said " Corruption is not a small issue reducing corruption itself will solve many problems. If you are implementing a social welfare scheme and there is widespread corruption all your schemes will fail"

well firstly Indianrabbit, corruption is a state of mind. corruption exists and will exist.

while reducing it to a minimum is a noble goal. to reduce simply for quote " social " programs is never going to be a success.

secondly , reducing corruption won't get you to 9% growth/.
China is fraught with corruption but still gets high growth.

AAP needs to tell you :

1. what is their economic growth agenda
2. what is their plan on Jobs
3. healthcare
4. Education
5. Opening up markets to competition
6. free trade
7. crime rate
8. various foreign policies

etc.

I don't judge people by how well they read off what is given to them, rather on policy matters. I could careless of Modi's gaffe Or Rahul's--- I am not aam adami ( if I spelt that right :)) - I am about realties and policies.

Example: do you ever ask your politicians what their " specific" plan is to address various issues? Their policy papers or vision on each subject.

1. growth
2. jobs
3. military
4. foreign policy on Chin / Pakistan / US/ etc?

AAP is only competing in Delhi. So much of their manifesto is concentrated only on regular social issues faced by common man like onion prices, water scarcity etc.
I am not worried about their growth plan and foreign policies (decades to go to get them there). Much of AAP supporters vote for MODI if it comes to central elections.

Is your liking for Rahul is because most PDF Indian members hate and mock him?

Some times its common for us to like what our enemy dislike. (EX:Misbah fans in India and Dhoni fans in Pakistan.

How did you assume the AAP has not spelt out it's vision on these points? You can read their concise vision document here. I'm sure it'll address many of your concerns above.(btw, this is for Delhi alone)

The leaders of every Party stick to their Party Manifesto. The manifesto spells out the vision and mission. The Congress Party's vision and mission is always slick. But it's execution of these is not.

In fact, a simple cry like "Roti,Kapda aur Makaan"(Food, clothes and shelter) is something that the Party has not been able to ensure for close to 200 million Indians in spite of being in the reins of power for so long ( They first came up with this slogan in the 1960s). There's nothing great about providing exemplary lip-service in Indian Politics. It's the basic skill of every Politician in India, well except Rahul Gandhi i.e.
The man is incapable of articulating his thoughts in simplistic terms and seems to believe in the adage " If you can't dazzle them with your wit, baffle them with your bull-shit".

If you know me here, last thing I do is base my opinion on popular or least popular opinions. growth is important because each state contributes to national growth. foreign policy is important because each state sends it Reps ( I presume) also to the national level. besides each state works w/ the federal govt on security issues, economic issues related to foreign policy. No state can arbitrarily have foreign partners without the consent of the federal govt I presume...

You're Welcome Sir. Although I would add that the manifesto sounds a lot more convincing when one is used to the shocking lack of accountability displayed by Congress and BJP in coming good on their Pre-poll promises.

I will judge it on its own i.e. others failures should not be the basis of getting good grades.

Unfortunately I can only read the english summary. I can't read Hindi- other than few words when written in English.

Sure. I was just trying to state that given the good showing by the Party in the Delhi Polls, the manifesto of the AAP must've struck a chord with many a Delhiite, something that an outsider may not be capable of appreciating as much.
