I do not think my female friends should come back to Pakistan

. .
I moved here in my very early teenage years and when even if a Pakistani say something nasty about Pakistan. I totally feel like punching his/her face. None of the country on the face of this plant is perfect. So what if Pakistan is facing the downfall. And most of the time these people are "wannabes". These types of people try so hard to give Americans look but fail so badly and then are not even Pakistani anymore. At the end isolate themselves. Low self esteem. Qasam Se this article literally pissed me off. :/
I was brought up outside Pakistan since I was 2 so I know what you mean....Sometimes I get the feeling that the new kids coming in are so spoilt they have no clue what they get in Pakistan! All they know is how to push something down without knowing the mud splashes back at them since they hold Pakistani passport!

;)

There is another impression that religion is imposed by parents which is again wrong. You will see woman adopting religion as their own choice and many of them do so after opting for science or higher studies.Tell this god damn author to write "Pakistani female professionals" at LinkedIn search bar and he will be slapped back by hundreds of search results.

Idiot!

No actually religion is imposed on very few. And with my observation females and even males get more close to religion. I am actually feeling to go to his campus and talk to him. Like why so desperate to look American and that even made him write this all. Moron. :/
Seriously Americans don't accept people like him and they don't want to stick around with Pakistanis and that's how idiots end up isolating themselves.

Yeah I know man, they are some desperate fools who just want to get some ratings from specific group of people. They believe that by depicting such things they will be gaining popularity and fame.

Overseas Pakistanis like him shouldn't look at Pakistan through Western lenses...
They have no choice.

By 'no choice', I am not saying someone put a gun to his head and force him to assess Pakistan thru that Western lens, but that it is human nature to make comparisons. No one can resist that part of himself/herself. You have a legitimate criticism if the man or woman have not traveled to the West but the problem for your criticism is that these people, not only have traveled to the West, but actually lived for a time in the West. They lived long enough to have Westerners for friends or even (gasp) lovers.

Bottom line is that they cannot resist making comparisons any more than they can resist thirst or hunger.

. . .
Yeah your pr work, just like ours sucks.
We should also have a pr department like the Chinese and the Iranians have.
Permanent residence?

O.K, then why not list specifics?
Ahh maybe you can answer.....

Pakistan has its own crap going on...True, every country has its dirty laundry. Pakistan doesnt have strong women rights groups and strong laws like America, so why hasnt the problems mentioned above unheard or vanished from America?

When someone goes:
I am not saying New York is perfect. It has more than its share of problems. All I am saying is, we are no one to point fingers.
Yet the same person is also pointing fingers....

He is experiencing a country with proper laws, human rights, animal rights and women rights...WHole package something not strong in Pakistan, yet she can manage to say

So why exactly are the problems still in NY? I mean we Pakistanis have problems coz we are corrupt, barbaric, have no sense of giving rights to anyone! What's America's excuse?

You cannot take one thing that have one flaw and say it is the equivalent as another thing that have ten flaws. That kind of absolutism is usually rejected by daily living.

The US is not perfect, but when there is a persistence among people who have traveled to the US that America is preferable -- in most metrics -- than where they came from, you cannot casually dismiss these perceptions.

Sometimes I wonder why I wasnt into law
No offense but from what I have seen so far, good thing your sense of law is not in America.
