No love for the Astra?? :(

LOAL ( Lock on After Launch)

With an Israel provided AESA , integration of Israeli missile would be much smoother than other country's missile including that of India.
So HAL is going to completely shift to an Israeli radar, avionics and the weapon system for LCA?

The MkIA or whatever it's gonna be called, won't get any AESA,either Israeli or Indian and will continue to use the present El/M 2032 slotted planner array. The MkII (along with the Mig 29 UPGs may be) will get the production version of the Uttam AESA by LRDE.

The seeker is taking too much time,IAF can not wait that long. :(

Astra will be there too. This one is apparently longer range missile.

I do believe either Astra/Derby will be first test fired from LCA.

This one is for Tejas 1A
But I think Derby is better suited For Israeli's radar onboard on LCA as it will Easy to integrate

Derby is already got integrated. So is Astra I think..

No uptill now only R-73 is integrated with HMDS in Ioc-2 .Python-5 & Derby integration trials are on going is part of FOC.

Pakistan is likely to have AMRAAM-D, SD-10, Adder and Alamo in future.

How is this missile in comparison to the above mentioned BVRs?
