I am messenger of India
I am messenger of India’s compassion, honesty: Dalai Lama
Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Saturday said India is the only example where more than 100 crore people of various religions are living in harmony.
“I am the active messenger of India and keep on promoting Indian treasure of compassion, truth and honesty throughout the world. India is the generator of non-violence and peace,” he said.
The Nobel Peace laureate said, “every where I have said that India is the only living example of several religion, where more than 100 crore people live in harmony.” He also termed Dharamsala as his “mother land”. PTI
While welcoming spiritual guru Morari Bapu he said, “As I spent a major portion of my life in Dharamsala, I consider it as my ‘Matri Bhumi’ (mother land).”
The Lama was speaking on the opening day of the 9-day Ram Katha at Police Ground here today.
Lama said to Morari Bapu, “I am happy that you didn’t confine yourself to the temples and came out to teach people the lesson of truth and honesty
It is now the time that the religious leaders of India should guide the countrymen to keep them away from corruption and injustice.
Dalai Lama said that though the money is important for life, but without peace it too can’t help.

No buddy, that would be counter-productive.

We were lucky enough to end up with a Dalai Lama who does not even call for Tibetan independence.

Dalai Lama: Tibet Wants Autonomy, Not Independence - Time.com

Just imagine how bad it would have been for us back then, to have a Dalai Lama who actually called for separation? This Dalai Lama bought us enough time (several decades) to strengthen our capabilities, now we are strong enough to resist any such movement.

He can spend the rest of his old age in peace and quiet. Maybe we will let him come back to Tibet one day so he can feel his native soil beneath his feet once more.

I just have one big worry, Dalai Lama would be announcing about his next incarnation, which has to be most probably born in India, because of cultural and societal resemblances! From any oder country it won't be that very unlikely!!

That would be creating a reason for very bitter tension between India and China, also with China recent behavior of snubbing India's almost all request be it diplomatic or vocal, (related to Pakistan controlled kashmir, Indian Kashmir, Arunanchal Pradesh etc) Indian establishments are more likely to provide protection to Dalai Lama's incarnation.

I also heard from some of my friends who are from Arunanchal Pradesh that Dalai Lama's succesor is already declared, and is currently brought up in some sacred and restricted (for outsiders) monastery of Arunanchal Pradesh!!

Tibetan Buddhism is a trouble, it indirectly caused the Yuan Dynasty collapsed and became a tool of enslaving people.

Nah mate lets not blame any particular religion for this ! Its probably the political implications of it that did create problems, if any ! For example it isn't 'Islam' but a certain brand of 'Political Islam' that has led to something that is rightly coined as 'Islamo-Fascism' !

Tibetan Buddhism is a heresy to me. I also don't like fundamentalists, but it doesn't mean that I hate all the Christians.

I have seen this RAZPAK abusing and making fun of Dalai on every other Tibetan related thread..wonder why Moderators don't take any action

and When some people Laughs at Mohammed, you people go on destroying Public property..a good Advice..start respecting other religions and their Prophets if you want your religion to be respected :fie:

Sound advice and point taken ! Forgive the lad...his wife left him !

This is all my personal view..
YA i'm proud of that he and most of Tibbetns are living in my homeland ... Problem is that after Indo-China Fight we never trusted each other..I never found a friend from China in my life till now who can clarify abt thier thoughts to us..

I also never understood their childish attitude towards Dalai Lama and his followers. It only reflects their moral bankruptcy as a whole. I consider Dalai Lama in the same league as Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu kyi, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King.

We should also do that to hafiz saeed, shuja pasha and other let operatives as well. tit for tat, get me no, then stop posting bullS**t scenarios that comes from your idiotic brain farts. :woot:

Unlike dalai, saeed is just a nobody rather than strategic assets
dunno who pasha is. also, if let is as terrorist as you think, how you gonna kill cavemen? fat raw agents cant climb northern mountains

So stay there and keep his dirty hands off Tibet.

KOLKATA: The Dalai Lama, who addressed students at IIM Calcutta, said Chinese officials sometimes behave childishly. "I look at people, including the Chinese, at a fundamental level in which everyone is human. These are no differences, from the way we are born to the way we die. But at times, the Chinese government calls me a demon. I may be a demon but not that bad a demon," he said, drawing laughter from the audience.

Describing himself as a son of India, the spiritual leader said he owed his existence to the country in which he had sought exile in 1959. "All particles in my mind contain thoughts from Nalanda. And it is Indian dal and chapati that has built this body. I am mentally and physically a son of India," he said.

Criticizing the Chinese government for its paranoia over people who speak a different language, like Tibetans do, he pointed to India's existence despite its diversity. "I often tell Chinese friends to look at India to get rid of the fear that plurality will lead to secession. India has so many languages and dialects, yet remains strongly united because there is the freedom of speech and rule of law," he said.

Apart from support from all over the world for an autonomous territory within China, the Dalai Lama claimed thousands of articles in Chinese published over the past couple of years had also recognized his stand as the ideal one to resolve the issue.

Mods kindly move this thread in the correct section.

He still thinks he is a big shot worth being assassinated??? If China wanted him dead, he would be long dead. Mao let him escape, FYI. Otherwise, you think he could escape that easily???

Pakistan should send ISI to assassinate Dalai Lama if China don't know how to stop him. Maybe Russia FSS help.
