What's new

I am 1st PM Modi 2nd on Facebook : Donald Trump

There's a difference between respecting and worshiping..

We care for all creatures.. Haraam means we aren't allowed to eat them..

Hunting without a valid reason is not allowed/ liked.. even if it is a pig.. But if we find monkeys roaming around the neighborhood injuring people, we are allowed to take necessary action, including killing them if necessary.. :-)

Again, that doesn't mean we are allowed to go on a hunt of monkeys or pigs for fun in their habitat..

:lol::lol: load of nonsense , so much respect for animals

Some believe that by telling us that they love to eat pig, we get offended. lollll

They will flood our tv screens with episodes of Peppa Pig and watch as we spontaneously combust.

That's a financial issue. Sadly even animals have a price. Here I actually agree with you on this point alone.

respect monkeys and also pigs , dogs which are haram as per your god.

This just goes to show your incredible ignorance, do you realise that dogs are part and parcel of Pakistani life, especially the rural areas? They guard our houses, flocks and are life long family partners.
We have our own breed the Bully, India doesn’t even have one.

I love monkeys, pigs do a great clear up job, but can damage crops hence they get hunted and their meat made into curry by local Christian folk.

You are ignorant too, India has its own breed , please read

One of the most agile dogs , they are used by the army also I think. I had one as a pet.

I never commented about pakistani society, I had mention in Islam religion dogs are considered haram, because a poster mentioned in our religion we worship monkeys. Do pakistani muslims strictly follow what is written in quran in their way of life is a different thing. Please go through this thread, Islam prohibits dogs

Fair enough I didn't know about the Mudhol Hound. Looks like a great breed. I looked for videos of average families owning them but only found breeders and wealthier folks. How common is their ownership?

In Pakistan Bully's are owned by even poor families and so prevalent;

As for the Islamic faith. Where in the Quran does it say not to keep dogs? It doesn't.

You then gave hadith, which have their own translation and even if you read the hadith in the link you gave it doesn't forbid them.
We also don't follow Saudi sheikhs (the link you gave) , they are minority and have extremist views, and being Sufi myself I can't stand them.

Donald Trump claimed Facebook's chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, said he was "Number 1" on the social network -- apparently referring to his follower count -- and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was second. That is incorrect.

US President Donald Trump can't stop talking about his upcoming India trip. He's expecting "millions" to turn up to receive him in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state. And now, he's talking up his social media game -- and PM Modi's too.

Trump claimed Facebook's chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, said he was "Number 1" on the social network -- apparently referring to his follower count -- and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was second.

But in fact, it's exactly the opposite.

According to Twiplomacy's 2019 rankings, it's PM Modi who is first among world leaders, with more than 44 million followers on Facebook. Donald Trump is a distant second. (Close to 26 million.)

But all this is only if you don't count Barack Obama -- no longer a government official -- who has around 55 million Facebook followers.

And if you look at non-political figures -- like Mark Zuckerberg himself -- then Barack Obama, Narendra Modi and Donald Trump are far behind. Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have around 90 million and 122.5 million followers, respectively. Shakira has 100 million. And Facebook's official page on its own website is tracked by over 214.5 million people -- the most followed account.

Now back to India-US diplomacy.

Donald Trump arrives on February 24. Here's here for a two-day visit of Ahmedabad and Delhi, his first to India since becoming US president.

"Looking forward to it!" he said in his Saturday tweet. And so is PM Modi.

Trump is undeniably a ‘butthurt’ egotistical charlatan. A successful one.

Dogs are undeniably an excellent tool in domestic and military life.
It’s just a by product that we as humans bond with dogs. They become friends especially to the lone ‘wolf’.
Which may seem haram by others
me , personally don’t believe in any pets within a Muslim home ( practicing or not ). Outside is a different matter.

Yes, they are not popular with average families, maybe because they are not a popular breed in India. Their breeding is also very less, labrador is the most common & popular one , in village side I think its GSD, I had one because I live in state of their origin :D , one of our uncles gave us as a gift. Most of their owners I have noticed are farmers and I saw many dhabha owner on highways also keep one. One thing I must say, they are the most agile dogs I have seen , they can easily scale any wall given their fitness, perfect material for elite army dog squads.

About Islam vs dogs: I will read more about this matter and get back, my primary source of understanding are muslims in India and many middle class muslims generally don't like keeping dogs at their home in India. So not really a minority for this belief, but off-course the elite muslims are dog lovers
