Not proven. Israel is ambiguous about its nuclear arsenal - for very obvious reasons. It neither denies nor accepts being a nuclear military power. Works both ways for Israel.
Simply cannot be said the same for Iran - a Shite country supporting two major Shite militias in a Sunni majority Gulf region. Add 2 + 2....

If and only if Israel goes for air strikes it will be a major offensive - no seconds here, it will be well coordinated and there will be a surprise or diversionary element or events initiated prior to the actual attack. Could be multiple sea and air based attacks. But it will be huge on the first go.

Please think practically does pakistan wants another nuclear neighbour and if Iran gets it so will Saudi Arabia. We seriously do not want a weapons race in a region which is already volatile

I hate to say this but Israel is leading the world in radar, dones, and those small sneaky little other devices like missile approach warning systems that can help their forces defend and attack on nuclear installations.

Operation eagle claw was a well justified rescue operation..


Of more relevance here will be Operation Opera - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But Iran is far more formidable than Iraq or Afghanistan..so any such adventure wont be a walk in the park.

Iran has a right to nuclear energy - for peaceful purposes. However, the processes which it is developing, the equipment which it is manufacturing and the kind of nuclear reactors which it is building or working on - all point to the military use of nuclear energy. If you read reports between the lines you would catch all these indications. Hence IAEA's and UNSC's concerns regarding Iran nuclear program. There is a precedence seen with North Korea.
