That's what I said. It is the most difficult job in the infantry. You can't make the slightest sound, move a single muscle and even the breathing has to be regulated so their is no disturbance.

Yes. Professional snipers are much different as compared to designated marksmen. But history tells us that many successfull snipers started as regular infantry men or designated marksmen. So that means other than training u must also be a " born sniper" sort of a person to be a succesful sniper.

. . . .
could you spot the first one?

Nope...you can see the rifle...
frankly i couldn't spot in the first pic. That is what made me write the first comments :P

However i have now seen the spot you have marked in first image and agree with that.

here are the last two:

not very sure about this last one. Something looks fishy at the spot i have marked :P but not sure. I will recommend Scorched Earth tactics for this one. :D

WTF? I couldn't figure out where the heck the snipers are! I think I'm getting old and need to change the power of my specs!

But amazing stuff! Thanks for posting this in spite of the fact that I spent 10 minutes of my precious life, which I'll never get back, trying to look for those bozos and still drew a blank!! Jeeez! :pissed:

Somehow i thought you're smarter than the rest, and you could 've atleast spotted the link (spot the sniper) hehehe. I had given the link to pics and its solutions, rest of the article is written by moi...after reading a few articles on counter-sniper tactics :ashamed: (I was just very curious about countering a sniper after watching american sniper :) )

@levina in real conditions it's not easy our main target is an officer or any other person who is value able for troops morel...

I find the observer's job very interesting, he tracks the signature of bullet to see if it has hit the spot and also alerts and tells sniper of an alternate target incase the first bullet did not hit the target. But a sniper's motto is "one bullet one target". And usually sniper is the team leader. I hope @jhungary could add to this.
Spotter is no junk either, but a qualified sniper himself. It's more effective when operating on their own, that both can switch the jobs keeping target in sight round the clock and easing a little bit without letting their guard down.

One shot, one kill isn't always the first priority neither the head-shots nowadays, infact killing as many as possible and stacking up confirmed killed isn't the first thing on the minds of ' boots on the ground' but getting the job done. We're talking 21st century battlefields, so you need to be quick and most importantly adaptive. Recent urban engagements prove that always achieving head-shots isn't that helpful though fear factor counts but when you are swarmed by hundred guys with AKs, center mass would be more quick and easy, and target 'll still die most likely

And I'm really angry:pissed: nobody has mentioned Carlos "White Feather" Hathcock yet. That guy is the true embodiment of SNIPER word. 93 confirmed kills is just a starter, noting that in Vietnam a third officer beside 2 men sniper had to confirm the kill witnessing live on the spot who wasn't with them when behind enemy lines, where they mostly operated. Hathcock set the world record for the longest sniper kill at a range of 2286 m which held till 2003, killing a VC guerrilla with this ( nothing close to a sniper rifle ) :

And check about the mission when went to kill a Vietnamese General and when he killed another sniper hunting him. Another guy Chuck Mawhinney shot 14 dead with 14 bullets in a minute but were close.

Here's some good eye candy on the topic also covering above gentlemen:

The best sniper hunter is another sniper. Because he knows the techniques of sniping...
