First point of view:
Muahmmad (pbuh) was a visionary man this order was for particular people who were non muslims posing as muslims and it was punishment for them to adhere before the crime. they later killed the herdsmen of the camel and got put to death for it..
Second point of view:
Camel urine is haram, its najs(filth)...It was always a cultural thing back then among bedous to use it as a medicine to treat acities despite its side effects .Nobody else in close companions or prophet himself ever consumed it however back then there were no medical treatment for certain disease therefore a haram substance was used by locals as a treatment for ascities as people believed in myths and what they hear around just to get rid of disease.. therefore in order to make his people understand what such filth does to mental state(resulting in killings) of the people he demonstrated it.. Impure substance that might appear to fix your conditions is not necessarily a good thing for your body.
