Hundreds of Chinese and Bangladeshi labourers in deadly clashes at Beijing-backed power plant near D

Wow - just wow....

I have no words.

Well I doubt India is trying to mess up the Payra Powerplant project because they are partners in the Port of Payra Project as well. You can study Bangladeshi media and news sites to see what is going on.

I think it was a case of simple rage and stupidity for the Chinese supervisor and the wrong situation at the wrong time for the Bangladeshi worker who died.

Thanks for your information. Hope things can be resolved properly by the law. Everyone should calm down and obey the law, no matter he is Chinese or someone else.

If the guest is rough, people will revolt. If I come to your house and you treat me like shit, I'll pick a fight with you and beat you up in your own house. Simple as that. Respect is gained not bought.
You want to hear another real story about a Pakistani student in China? They commit many crimes but does the Chinese complain?
Once a guy from Pakistan borrowed money from me and ran away to Pakistan. Till date he didn't pay back. There are many stories like this, but did I once bring it up on this forum? I didn't bring it up not because this is a Pakistani forum, but because I understand there are bad apples everywhere.

It's why I'm saying Chinese workers shouldn't even be there in such places with such "hosts". Hopefully Chinese now get the picture that some houses are total sh!t, so best avoid....sometimes business is not worth the loss of lives and the bad press China then gets etc.

Chinese workers shouldn't even be there ?? Then where should they be ?? Remain jobless and starving in CN due to real eastate bubble bursted ??

Haha, CN is under UD trade war now, million job loss due to 25++% tariff.

Firstly you don't need show me your house manners here. Learn to face difference of opinion. We not falling for indian and western propaganda aimed at breaking decades long relationship between Pakistan and China, shouldn't give a mirchi to you. You have absolute right of falling for those propaganda.
Lol, this isnt propaganda, this is first hand experience genius. Your opinion, seeing as you are sitting thousands of kilometers away, and have no knowledge about what is happening on the ground, doesnt matter.

Did a Chinese supervisor or someone like that murder or manslaughter a Bangladeshi worker? Is that what happened?

Sorry I could not find the story and didn't read through all posts. Someone please explain and we can go back to topic. This sort of behavior is not seen inside China and maybe very cruel people high up will sometimes behave badly but most are fine normal people. If this happened, I think it may be a example of racism or racist behavior. To kick someone or beat them for poor performance I am guessing.

@Nilgiri do you know what happened here?

So I read BBC and it seems like the Bangladeshi worker fell to his death.

Why would Chinese push or kick him to fall? I don't believe this no evidence speculation. I believe they did try to cover it up and not make the local people all know and further oppose Chinese backed development in that site and around the region too. But I doubt they will try to just bury the body. Most likely keep it quiet as possible and only let relevant authorities know.

Of course word and rumor travels and Bangladeshi workers got angry and one action after another things escalated to fighting and rioting and one Chinese worker killed in the rioting. All from one accident (most likely) and from allegedly Chinese organization trying to keep the incident quiet. Arguably not the right thing to do but totally understandable given how much opposition the projects have created in Bangladesh.

I think people are quick to judge and overly emotional here. China always the bad guy and evil. Everyone has their stories. It's always okay to think this way of Chinese ;) whites mistreating everyone still they have good practice and policy. China brings in their labor forces to build and do projects together is same as Europeans coming in to rape and shoot everyone. Similar colonialism. Some tame examples of Chinese behaving badly make these worms like Denel come out and say every Chinese is evil and no other human is bad. That's basically how he treats this situation. Pathetic.

I hope we beat the sh!t out of these Chinese, we aren't Uighur that they can cart into a concentration camp. A good beating will take most of them home and give more Bangladeshis jobs.

Promoting violence against all Chinese. Even if many of them are indeed evil and racist, you want to beat all of them. Grow up. Don't be so emotional. I know you feel insecure about your status but direct your hate to the real high status people. Chinese and all here on this forum are the same status. We're all struggling and our enemies have divided and conquered us in material and in mind/spirit.

But nature is good and fair. Do what you must and feel right about. Cheap and worthless people need to expose themselves somehow.

China money trap ....when u cant pay back the debt, then u will lose ur buildings, ur ports.
Country as BD can follow Vietnam in developing infrastructure. Taking loans from the World Bank and other non chinese institutions, making a bidding, deciding for the best bidder. It’s cheaper, more efficient, generating more jobs, gaining technology.

China silkroad and Bri are basically a scam. They loan the money, earning interests. Then they send in workers, materials and everything, earning wages and exports revenues.

There are no effective controls on chinese projects because they bribe politicians. At the end all stuffs are low quality, overpriced and delayed.

And in some cases, they build something in somewhere nobody needs them.

See Sri Lanka.

worse: the nationalist tabloid global times can write more worthless propaganda.

What do you mean lack of awareness of other race? LOL. Americans may care a bit more about races, but they don't give a **** about "third world" countries. So I think you can STFU.

Saying a lot of dumb shit doesn't make you sound smarter.

There are a lot of places in the world to go. The "Low level" people go to countries like Zambia. Don't worry, those Chinese already more hardworking and intelligent than the average Zambian.
@waz @Arsalan @Dubious @WAJsal please take of him and the piece of shit who thanked his post both.

This may be true. A lot of corrupt Chinese politicians must benefit a lot of this sort of projects. I agree with you on this.

World Bank is better alternative but is US policy influenced. But more likely a better choice for most countries. But at the same time, World Bank will not give these funds in these particular examples. But maybe because they know these projects will not become productive in future or have different calculus.

You can mix and take what fits best to you. Taking loans from China banks are ok but never mix loans with the obligations you must take chinese contractors, chinese workers, chinese materials, at the end you pay double.

Ok World Bank is controlled by Washington. But the people are more honest.

Vietnam takes all recent loans for infrastructure and urban development from the World Bank.

CN policy since ancient time is : attacking near countries (VN-Laos-JP-Russia-India) to expand the nation and make friend wt far countries (keep licking EU-US azz). Thats why Im quite surpirse when first time I came here, I saw many CN's neighbours in South Asia call CN is their "allies-friends".

They r just so naive to CN policy (attacking near countries and make friend wt far countries), so now, many of them have No choice but handing over their ports, their lands to CN. CN is the boss in their countries taking away their ports, their lands without shooting a bullet.:coffee:

The world already know what the Chinese have become - with your concentration camps to boot. Nasty and uncivilized, with no boundaries or basic decency or humanity. These particular Chinese now seem to come to Bangladesh and want to beat up Bangladeshis in Bangladesh. This is what happened, and these Bangladeshis have the right to return the favour and send you packing.

Or did you think that we are like the Uighurs and will quietly walk to a concentration camp?
