Huge Projects of Türkiye

Interesting, but I wonder he did all the calculations. We need an update on that one and see what the costs are.
He is talking about partially underwater and making islands as checkpoints for border controll

It would make KKTC an easier destination for potential turkish tourist and if the tunnel can have a train connection for kargo and YHT besides a road. Which could help for closer ties into helping developing KKTC and giving the people of KKTC more opportunities and this can also give political leverage to get full Cyprus in our terms. Because in the current state of KKTC the people are quite living difficult economic situations and prefer to be a part of the official recognized Cyprus.

But if such a project would help our brethren in KKTC which will give opportunity and confidence, than I can only support such projects.

Nonsense. It's a small distance. There are logical modes of transportation. Or do you really wish to use those billions for little gain? I'd rather have a Istanbul-Izmir HSR line. Or Istanbul-Yalova line. Much more important. Turkey isn't China with having money coming out of it's read, and having the best infrastructure companies. This is a silly luxury idea, and won't happen. Feribot and Deniz Otobusu is more than enough.

Full Cyrpus on our terms? That's never going to happen. If the Southern Cypriots accept Turkish as a main language, and let the people live their lives, and allow them proper representation, that's as far as it will go. Anyway, I do like economic investments in Cyprus, but they need to be logical and pay off. Like opening up a flood of casinos. We all know Turks like to gamble (even the very religious ones). So that's our little Macau/Vegas. Do some other things that are frowned upon on the mainland, and you'll boost their economy. It's only 300.000 people.

I agree in part. If it isn't cost effective than it wouldn't make sense in building such project, but if it is than why not.

Coming to full Cyprus, that really depends on the European Parliament and if Turkiye can continue to grow in body, mind and spirit and sustain it.

If it's effective, sure, indeed. Not why not, buy 'why the hell haven't we done it yet'. I think it's great if plausible.
About reunification: I'd like to think of it of Turkey's first little step into the water if Cyprus reunites with equal Turkish influence. First step in the water as in first step toward complete Turkish EU entry. The Northern Cypriots have suffered a long, long time. Before Turkish intervention and after (not because of Turkey, but just poverty). I hope it all works out. Turkey's future is in the EU.

Just wondering, do you keep track of the Decisions made within the European Parliament ? Because at the current stage the number of European Skepticism with good reason is growing which there are some solutions to it but that is very political and off topic.

You mean with regards to Turkish entry into the EU? Or are you talking about Greece or the unification of Cyprus?

In general. Best example I can give you is, do you know that the ECB is using taxpayers money to buy government bonds of EU nations which are having hard time.

Crazy theory, unification of Cyprus and EU Membership. Last barrier to Isolate Türkiye will be completed. Who can then travel to Cyprus , without VISA ?

Yes. The idea of course is that it's better to buy bonds so they can finance the gaps on 'their own', as opposed to let them go bankrupt, which will require another bailout and will mean a nother huge economic crisis. The sad thing is that there are many Greeces in the EU, much bigger Greeces too. Pretty much everything south of Germany is complete and utter crap. France is leading the 'poverty block' in trying to push back against austerity and reforms. It's disgusting really. We need a Germanic and Slavic Union, not those latin parasites in the south.

Yes I'm sure those Greek poor hordes will move to Cyrpus. Indeed, which is why I said unification while adhering to Turkish needs and interests: language, political influence and full relationship with Turkey, regardless of EU immigration laws.

I think you are very unaware of the fanaticism of which the European Commission is putting forward their Ideals for an united Nation of Europe. The issue with Greece, that this going to happen was warned 10+ years ago, but ignored because of idealism. Now imagine an unified Europe wasn't the only thing and that you extend this idealism into pretty much everything. I prefer not go into this matter, because even though I spend time gathering data about this. Its better if you would look into the matter yourself.

That's all out of Topic.

Türkiye has to go his own way. Interior stability , secure borders , detterence and strong economy is that what we need. That can all be realized with strong, stabile leadership and social solidarity in our Country. All the so called environmental movements and protests are a part of destabilization attempts, which have their base in illegal and criminal organizations. We need no Gezi , no dam or other protests; that are all subversive elements who are living in "romantic past" and their sensibility is used by illegal parties and their foreign supporters.

We can overcome that all if we can convince our Society and increase wealth for all our citizens.

AND SOME WHOSE GOAL IS DESTABILIZATION,
they even't don't know that some huge Projects in Europe have no construction permission and are only continued with governmental decrets. Some so called intellectuals have blood on their Hands, but nevetheless could live in the EU and made PR

He is a genius in designing the technical aspects of some farfetched and economically and probabaly technically and politically unfeasible projects. Start several of his projects and spell the doom for Turkey.

I guess you're right, but it's normal. In times of crisis when talk about 'exits' creeps up, the EU institutions will push for more unification.

@Hakan , we went to deep into EU politics here can you remove the things unrelated to this thread.

excuses for not dragging this conversation earlier to cay bahce

All depends on Money, remember how much Money we had to invest in PKK fight; experts estimate that it was more than 400 Billion USD in the last 30 years. If we had been sponsored with more than 300 Billion Euros like Greece, Türkiye would have been "heaven on Earth".
