Huge oil deposits located near Karachi coast

I have heard this for the first time that Karachi has oil reserves in the sea. I wouldn't believe it unless I get to know about it from other resources as well. Mubashir Luqman is okay but not best of brains to base your believe at.

So far there are no geological team(s) confirming this info. At this time, it is to be considered as speculation.
And aren't the sea levels rising ??

I think some experts are also saying that this is why the navy is being targeted so it dosent remain an effective fighting force,dont know if that is true

All other speculations might be true but how can you possibly beleive that sea levels in Karachi are receding?????

I saw that show. Mubashar Luqman stated that sea level at Karachi is receding and therefore these oil reserves are coming under Pakistan's territory and India does not want that and therefore the next war will be for maritime interests. Is he serious???????

Yes we are preparing for which is still thousands of years if not million away. And nobody has forseen the effect of any major earth quake or tunsami which might change the demographics..what foolish nonsense.

well market and demand factor is also important,ofcourse this oil field cant serve the needs of whole Pakistan but since being locatef near Karachi which is the Indutrial base of the country,plus being a commercial hub with high population density and alot of transport and the biggest and busiest airport of Pakistan(fuel for airplanes) and 2 airbase as well, the distribution of oil in this city will be convenient and cost effective,6 million barrels should be enough

I always think there is a high chance of Oil & gas on Sindh waters because Gujrat has too offshore reserves & Sindh too have gas reserves on Land .

Its believed that the coast off the Arabian Sea in Sindh and Balochistan provinces have tons of oil desposits. There was a thread in this forum about how theres more oil off the Arabian Sea coast in Balochistan Province than Saudi Arabia.

It is also believed that FATA is blessed with tons of gas reserves, more than Iran.

Whether there is oil or no, Whether in commercial quantity or non commercial quantity, no one better to give the contract for extracting oil than US!!

US will go anywhere to extract oil for it's own interest.
