You know the only reason I still use Windows is coz Visual Studio is so easy to code in. Since Hongmeng is supposed to be a universal OS that operates on all kinds of devices, Huawei should release something like Visual Studios for it, kill off Windows for coding enthusiasts like me who like to develop my own apps...

Android being a open source OS means it holds no copy right and being a public product. Hongmeng just copy most of the operating procedure and implement some of it's step procedure will do. Security update and OS update can be done by Huawei themselves.

That's not true. Android apps need a lot of (Google) dependencies that Huawei rewrote for Hongmeng but with improved efficiencies. Android under Google's license are like those Intel chips China used to use in their supercomputers -- pure bloated power-hungry crap chips. Homgmeng is like the Sunway chips that get twice the performance at half the power consumption.

Actually they are banning google services like gmail, etc and google play. They can't really ban Android, since it's based on linux anyway.
