How's your horse

I take lots of panadols and quit smoking until I start to feel better. Once I got sick for 10 days straight and until I stopped smoking I didn't get better so I learned from it.

But I read somewhere that you shouldn't stop working out even when you get sick it helps you recover more quickly.

When you develop understanding with your body no presence of medicine remains. There are ailments where body demands medicine but it is for short and limited time, after that it takes it's normal and healthy course.

I leave at 8 & come back home at 8pm.

I drive 3+ hours each day.. on top I have a baby to play with and parents.

And trust me have no energy left after all that.

But you are right, infact I face alot of flak from my own family.

Hi,

Excuses my boy excuses---. We all have them---a million of them---.

Best excercize---get a stationary bike that you can sit straight and ride like a bicycle

10-15 minutes a day will give out surprising results---.

Makes you legs and back stronger and you won't feel tired.

It is a life saver---.

"Kora" (ghora) in a meaning other than the horse the animal has a very "zoomani" slang useage among young adults in my area (at least until 90s), in slang punjabi of our area one's "kora" (ghora) usually referred to one's d***. So when I saw the title of this thread, I couldn't stop my laugh due to the punjabi slang meaning of "how is your horse".

Use the bicycle---just barely 5 minutes a day a full throttle---. At 63 yrs my pulse rate 60 beats a minute in resting position. You will be amazed at the results after 30 days---.

Just use the bike when walking by the machine---5 minutes with a little resistance in the setup of the pedals---. You start with 5 minutes---and you will find yourself doing 2 or 3 stretches of 5 minutes after 30 days---.

Don't do it for yourself---do it for your kids---. My father died at age 53---my younger sisters don't even remember his face---. Do it for the family---do it for your kids.

Here the horse is your body. Understanding your body is like understanding your horse. When you create a bond and state of synergy with a horse it gives you a smooth ride. Relationship between you and your body is like that. It nurtures and deepens with time. It happens when you start understanding your body.

So please share with us. When did you realize that you were starting to understand your body. The time may vary from person to person. Let's see.

Where the fu$k are you driving 3hrs to? I live in Canada and the most I need to drive is 2hrs to get to the provincial capital. Very boring drive btw, there's nothing to look at but endless snow. With the occasional blizzard and a car in the ditch.

I say Canada because everything is really spread out and you need a car. Public transportation is comparable to a unicycle with a flat tire. I lied that's being mean to the unicycle.

I have been trying to convince my family to buy a fixed exercise bicycle in Pakistan since ages, but they don't pay any attention to my suggestion, people in pakistan just don't like to do "work" in the form of exercise, it is just an alien concept for majority of the people there.

Uhm, dont waste your time, trust me. Get some dumbbells instead. Cardio is boring and feels like sh$t and you want to do it by looking at the wall for the next 20mins. Do your cardio by jogging if you really want to. Otherwise get into resistance training, its like a drug.

There are different types of lifestyles like Hyperactive, active, semi active and then Sedentary lifestyle.

A sedentary lifestyle is a type of lifestyle involving little or no physical activity. A person living a sedentary lifestyle is often sitting or lying down while engaged in an activity like reading, socializing, watching television, playing video games, or using a mobile phone/computer for much of the day. A sedentary lifestyle can potentially contribute to ill health and many preventable causes of death.

______________

For people who cannot find time for exercise and are restricted to stay at home most of the time like older folks and housewives etc, 3 different machines can be useful where you can exercise at home especially while watching TV:
- Threadmill machine
- Cycling machine aka stationary bike
- Elliptical machine

Google them and see which one fits your requirement more.

PS: I personally have phobia regarding threadmill and I would never use it while watching TV. lol

Hi,

I have had thyroid problems for many a years---I don't know since when but it got diagnosed in 2001---. My metabolism is extremely slow---as much I worked out---I would not lose any weight---but that did not stop me with working out---.

I can sit on a chair for all day and do not move---that is how bad my thyroid condition is---but still I fight to make myself get up and work out---.

It is a mental thing that you have to overcome---and truthfully it is not easy---it is a big big struggle---.

I wouldn't know, I dont have a horse to relate my body to.

If you relate your body to 'your body' it'll work. But the problem is we relate our body to our whole self. Our body is 1/2 of our self.

So keep your body separate from 'you' and then try to understand it. It will really make a difference.
