But if and when india does test it's MIRV, doesn't the same task become even more gargantuan for a lesser resourced Pakistan?
So what happens then? How will Pakistan defend itself when and if that happens?
India has invested (or is in the process of) in developing an ABM system. So it's gaining technical know how of a missile defense system with access to Israeli and American tech.,not saying they would give it to us, but the option exists in theory.
What's Pakistani game plan here?

DANG that is crazy expensive not to mention susceptible to anti radiation and anti satellite missile. On top of that, it only works over vast geographic distances like from Asia to N. America (not countries right next to each other like Pakistan and india) since it gives the sensors enough time properly distinguish duds from real and figure out the trajectories and that too, if the warheads aren't changing their trajectories. If the warheads are changing their trajectories then even this system becomes an insanely expensive waste of equipment.

The missiles themselves are very effective against slower targets. The problem is the early warning, but that's becoming less and less of a problem as time goes by and more money is spent on airborne assets.
