So what's your recommendations to solve this issues, maybe you can write long expression letters to WebMaster/Moderators or something? You have mention this topic again & again few months ago, it wouldn't change the perceptions of PDFs.

For the fact of negative dailys in Media everyday on Pakistan terrorisms, yes everyone will use negatives comments. After War on Terror in Afghanistan 2014, everyone will use positive comments towards Pakistan. :)

Brother, I advise you to avoid trollers simple and easy but you keep continue with them to attract mores.

Only solution is that the seniors start behaving. The newbies will follow.

Without the flaming part of this forum, it would be completely dull. We need to make sure that there are a majority of quality posts, rather than a majority of garbage trolling posts. With this, the forum is truly balanced. PDF for me is a form of acquiring non-biased news and getting some entertainment at the same time.

Ehhh... I prefer to think of the rank system like 'Call of Duty'. So what if your level 50, 15th Prestige? It just means you've played a lot. Doesn't mean you're any good. :)

I know this is a "hot" topic: while I've always appreciated the quality of moderation on this thread, I have been dissatisfied with the fact that it's not swift. Many people report troll posts, but they still remain for hours & days on the thread, & by the time action is taken, the damage has already been done. I think all the members here, regardless of nationality, will agree with this.

Not blaming anything matey.. just agreeing with Bilal on how probably these discussions are increasing people to people animosity and stereotypes..

And here is the really good news:

The vast majority of Chinese and Indians (who live outside of the big cities) will never actually get to interact with each other face to face. Even in Hong Kong, which has the most Indians out of any Chinese city, most of my friends don't have much experience in talking to Indians.

So the real interaction, between the majority of Chinese and Indians in the future, will most likely take place on the internet.

:D

Well, possibles. Newbies (baby) will learn by themselves and analysis their own personal behaviors in time beings. Maybe they don't have experiences in real world of people outside. PDFs is a good place to interact with everyone and different point of views. For seniors members long times in PDFs, it is our big responsible to behave properly and wise comments on any issues to gain more respects from them instead harrassing or useless racists comments.

Avoid temporary wasting-time trollers (ATWTT)

For long, way before I joined this forum, I noticed people got responses that were based on their flags and not on what they actually said or meant.

No one really read what a user said, and the mood of the responses depended on the poster's flag, and often ended up in troll wars resulting in derailing, or closure of the threads. But few are to be blamed for that because most members are highly patriotic and many so religious, and for such patriotic or religious people, it takes a lot to reason with someone from the enemy country.

So to shed such biases of the responders (and of myself), I decided to change my flags to the countries that I can relate to, but that are barely be related to the topics discussed here. However, to let the people know where I am actually from, I always kept my location as New Delhi, without showing off the Indian flag.

Although once I got even banned for this, I have to say, it has worked really well!

Actually I think it's not just the flags by themselves but your username too.

Who can possibly flame such an awesome guy like President Camacho???

This forum is not for sensitive/emotional peoples who cannot tolerate different opinions/point of views and get out of control. Such kids should stay away from arguments and discussion.

Dont worry Bilal. I dont think you are anti-indians or anti-Afghans and just remember we cannot make everyone happy.

Psychological conditioning perpetrated on your part indeed!!! Bravo.

Back on topic; I gave up trolling long ago because of it's futility.Believe it or not,our opinions are irrelevant and our primary urges still borders on the need to vent. For one,I am really glad that none of us get to decide on foreign policy matters!!!

But sometimes it's just hard to ignore the insults headed your direction I guess.

it's fine (and most fortuitous, actually) that PDF attracts a vast array of nationalities and is not limited to just Pakistanis interacting amongst themselves in isolation.

with that said however, the administration has an obligation to heed to concerns made by many regular, senior and even TT-level members:

that we need to bring back ''Pakistan'' into PDF; and in doing so, be careful with the ''screening process'' when dealing with new members.

a multitude of accounts and a multitude of people from a certain nationality (i need not even mention it by name) tend to flock into here, trolling, flaming and adding little substance or value to the forum......it would be prudent to reverse this trend. Trolls always meet the same fate in this forum; however more preventative action needs to be taken BEFORE threads become derailed by ''those people''

easier said than done; but hey, the mods in this forum do devote a good amount of time to this forum so any challenge could be addressed. . .

There have been many occasions on which the title of a thread attracted me as I felt I could contribute, but I got disgusted at the kind of hate posts flying around. No point posting in such threads as people are more interested in abusing and trying to prove their point. Yes, one faces a lot of provocation, in the past, I did give in a many times and got into a self righteous mud slinging match, but now I simply move away when I see very high hate levels. I got banned once. I thank the moderator who banned me because it was indeed a very shitty post for which I am really ashamed, thank God it was deleted so no one can read it now. Now I avoid controversial threads, do not contribute to threads bashing other countries and when a personal attack is made against me, I thank the poster. I am not very proud of some of my posts in the past but I try not to repeat those mistakes. I have some friends on this forum, I intend making more friends. I never argue with a friend. If a friend posts a comment I do not agree with I simply move on. I do not get into arguments with fellow Indians. Infighting in public is bad form. I have a deep emotional attachment with Bangladesh, my mother's birthplace. I avoid arguments with Bangladeshi members. Once a friend cautioned me through a PM when he saw that I was getting harsher in my posts, I thank him for that. There are some excellent senior members here. They are really good examples to follow. Yes, PDF is a great forum. Very lively. We can make it even better. I thank my friend Bilal for opening this thread.
