Asalamualaikum,
I do not know if this topic has already been discussed. I did a search on Google as well as on defence forum for the answer but to no avail.
What I would like to know is, if Taliban contact media through a land line or even a mobile device can't the forces trace them out?

Instead of being so rude you could have said that politely. But oh well may be your brain stopped working before you replied. The thing is I used my brain that's why thought some professionals could help on PDF. However instead of meeting a professional I met a moron.

simply by fake sim cards calls dear
Sir I beg your pardon but in a digital era that we live in, Even fake SIM cards can be tracked using Geo location services (from where last call was made) - boosters and network coverage. So, why Pakistani forces were not able to do that until now?

bhai first of all we have no acsess to south wazirstan and second they are smart too they may off the cell after call or even use one sim for one call

Okay, well in reference with Yesterday's murder of Ch. Aslam. I am sure you must be familiar with it. The TTP took the responsibility after about 15 minutes of the blast. So,
1. They must have called some media organization through a fake sim card. If they had done that, the servers that took the call must have recorded it. By using those servers we track the ip route of the call.
2. Even if that is not possible, their are other methods like in Waziristan's nearest booster from where the call had been made can be located. If they can be located they can be traced and if they can be traced they can be arrested.
What do you say about it?

.
They use afghani sim cards. Afghani sim card are even used in Karachi. LEA and Sig interception agencies find it impossible to track such sims. These sim card shows a caller is in afghanistan

Or they use Satellite phones. Surraya (Thurraya) is popular among terrorists

About location, don't we know they are in South Waziristan. And about locating the call, will the informer be at the same spot when we will be able to hit that location..

As per this article, "Satellite phone tracking is not only possible, it's widely used by military and security services," one human rights-oriented technologist with experience training citizen activists in Syria told CPJ.
They can be tracked including Thuraya and Global star the prominent names in satelite phone companies.

Does Pakistan has the technology to track them?

Sir, in both the cases (satellite phones and fake sim cards) doppler shift technology or geo location can be used. If the accuracy system is used we can know their location area of 5 km.

As for the spot, well we can use the same old map and can connect the dots. You see they don't just talk once in a blue moon. After every blast they give a statement to media. IF the doting system is used we can surely apprehend them.
