What's new

how PIA pilots+maintenance finished ATR-42 fleet

Bro Air Marshall is a decent man. He is a sliver of hope for PIA. PIA if run properly can make a lot of money for Pakistan. First you have to dismantle the mafia called union. And then all the gangs in PIA.

Like I said the ground staff and pilots in union won't shy away from deliberately crashing an airplane if that means getting their way.
PIA debt in 2017 2.97bn$
PIA debt in 2018 3.3bn$
PIA debt in 2020???????

rosevelt hotel worth 1bn$ in 2015
what will be price of hotel today?

Bro table is other way around and it is due to Arshad Malik PIA now in crisis. (Now I am glad PIA is getting banned internationally) it is due safety of plane not in guideline with Europe and US (Since 2016 or 2017 they are asking to uplift safety standard of plane and they are getting warning letters for them and no one address the problem and they only getting extension of date for six months for many time and now finally EU stop that extension and it is nothing to do with pilots license case. Please do verified my statement on my request to confirm the real picture. Currently they are trying to make it political issue but real picture is not like that. Even for pilot issue they are lying to the public and even figures are not correct.

See now the current issues of PIA that is now finally coming into the limelight was inevitable and was built up till this moment due to decades of negligence and neglect. Hell this not even the first time such a suspension was handed to PIA, iirc in 2007 majority of PIA fleet was restricted to flying to certain countries due to their shoddy maintenance and repair. Arshad Malik shares the blame for not exposing this whole sham of a system sooner and instead waiting till such a horrific accident occurred but he should not bear the brunt for the actions of those in the decades prior. However fixing PIA or even creating a new airline is out of the question when your own Aviation Authority is completely gutted and exposed to high levels of corruption.

just today another victory

Auditor General of Pakistan 2021-2022 report has blamed PIA management for the loss of ATR aircraft.

Loss due to accidents of aircraft - PKR 2,796.2 million

Section (4) (3) of Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules - 2013 states that the Chief Executive is responsible for implementation of strategies and policies approved by the board, making appropriate arrangements to ensure that funds and resources are properly safeguarded and are used economically, efficiently and effectively and in accordance with all statutory obligations.

During audit of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) Engineering Department for the year 2019-20, it was observed that two aircraft of PIA faced severe accident and resulted in heavy loss due to complete destruction of aircraft.

The detail of incidents is as follows:

Aircraft: ATR 72-212a
Date of Incident: November 24, 2018

Findings of investigation reports for each incident reveals following causes:

Findings: Civil Aviation Report
Aircraft: ATR 72-212A

* Non-adherence of the laid down maintenance procedure by PIA.

* Deficiency in required maintenance support equipment at the organization level.

* Lack of professionalism of PIA maintenance crew.

* In-adequate assessment process for authorization of technical personnel for engine ground run up of ATR aircraft.

F
indings: Safety Investigation Report
Aircraft: ATR 42-500

If you really stop and think about it, they have a horrible safety record. The amount of crashes is a testimony to that.

Yup that too. They need such a vicious beating to get them in line. Shamed them in public even then they won’t care since they’ll still earn $$$$

Plane fitness countrolled at the International airport because when they land an unfit plane, EU never let them fly before all fix and pass by local CAA staff at the airport and billed to PIA.
