The author's name is Kamila Shamsie, a Pakistani journalist based in London and Karachi.

its an old stuff had read it completely and i can point out where the fault-lines are in it.


quoting few un-named people (hardly a double digit not even four) and implying that is the majority representing Pakistan, then its the most dumbest thing in the world and those who believe in such claims of the writer will be equally dumb.

do go and ask the downtrodden,uneducated majority in India about the growth rate in India or its economy and i am dead sure you will found they even dont know what does a GDP, or economy means.

Same here keeping in mind the socio-economic issues which are held more important than thinking about India or its economy.

MY HONEST OPINION!!!!

India and Pakistan have more common grounds and relation then Pakistan has with the rest of the Arab World.

India and Pakistan, have the same cluture, stlye, dresses, music, language (yeah hindi/urdu is the 4th biggest language in the WORLD) and amougst many other things.

But should we be united, the answer is now no, its not the time yet plus we are doing well on our own. But we should be Allies. I resepect Indians and i am sure a educated Indian will have that same respect to Pakistanis. We shouldn't be Rivals, we should be allies except of course on Cricket

i meet some nepali laborers today who are working in an airline catering company..and when few political statements came up..they had really "sweet" words for India..all i can say now...is that India is playing "imperial" games of exploitation in small south Asian countries hence Pakistan is an eyesore to them as it gives the ideological vision for all countries around india..the aspirations of true freedom..agree we may not be perfect but many are still taking us as an example.

When everyone has something against India, its obvious how has got the problem where..regardless of western trolling on Indian democracy, multiculturalism and tolerance.
