Date 02 April 2004.
14 Squadron, Home Base, Ambala.
Departure Air Base, Srinagar.

It was meant to be a fanfare occasion, the base commander wanted to show and prove the Indian Air Force's Jaguar aircraft's all weather capabilities. Thus a flight of four aircraft was flown in from Ambala Air Base. Many VIPs, Media and other personalities as well as retired IAF Officers were invited to record and witness the occasion. The four aircraft were sent off to carry out mission in adverse weather thus Srinagar was chosen as it was in the vicinity of Himalayas. The Jaguars were supposed to complete mission and return to Srinagar for the acknowledgement. However after prolonged wait, when none of the aircraft returned a sombre mood prevailed on the base as the invited guests began departing.
It later transpired that two of the aircraft had crashed due to bad weather killing both pilots while the other two had to divert to another airfield. An embarrassing and sad ending to what was meant to be a publicised event.

This story was carried and published in the AFM.

What about this one? It was an air show in Mauritius and the IAF Mirage 2000 landed on its belly because the pilot forgot to lower the under carriage

and this one again an air show

Troll Thread...

Even F16 recently down and crashed in pakistan during the practice...

Should we also make the same BS claim that it is because of bad training of pilots in Pakistan?

The air crash incidents are happening across all the countries.... does not matter if the country name is US, Russia, china, India or pakistan...

in case of Pakistan and F-16s, its a very rare occurrence.

cant say the same for IAF, where people bribe seniors to be assigned good aricraft.

Apparently the pajeets were doing the orgasming and not paying attention while flying multi million dollar jets. From the videos posted above.

Indians are no better then afghans in terms of using jets and modern equipments. Shooting own helos, jets falling from the skies like flees. Barrels of tanks and artillery blowing up because of bad quality of shells and the list can go very very long.

no need for that..

since Indian aviation standard is so low... why the need to cheat?.
