What's new

how many years it took to build tejas?? lets settle the issue once for all

Dude , check my joined time!!!!!!!
that is why do not say that Chinese members never said that. and I cannot dig open old threads for you. If you want to explore previous threads its your job.

Okay , F22/35 is absolutely No1 , there is no doubt about that !

About Rafael and PAKFA , I believe some Chinese might say J20 is better at some aspect!
that's the point. J-20 is also not made yet. But not exactly some aspect only, when they said better it meant better overall.

You mean overall than PAKFA and Rafael ?

How many chinese say that ?

even in china forum , only a few people say J20 might better than PAKFA at some aspect!

The comparison between J20 and Rafael is not very popular !

most or majority of them said its better. several threads have been opened to profess J20 is better. so overall no one can say, that Chinese never claimed J-20 better then other fighters. that would be like saying all Chinese are saint and everyone else a criminal.

thanks god , we did not say better than F22

BTW, I think J20 and T50 they are both 5 generation , they both have better aspect than each other
and Rafael is 3rd generation (F22 4th generation ), I believe J20 will be better than it if J20 program success .

F-22 is also 5th Gen. I think that's a typo.

Not a typo .

Chinese uses a different convention than the International one to classify their fighters .

International standard 5G = Chinese 4G .

International standard 4G = Chinese 3G .

Yes thats fine. But Kyle called J20 and PAKFA as 5th Gen and F-22 as 4th Gen.

so either he should call all of them 4th Gen or all of them 5th Gen.

Then he is wrong

According to Chinese classifications F22 , J20 and T50 are 4G while J15 , J10 and Rafale are 3G .

Yes, but the project started in 1983. So it take 31 years so far and counting.

Studies Discussions cannot be counted in Development. It was finalised as a delta wing aircraft with RSS only in late 1990.

.
If that is the case , there is not a single operational 4.5G fighter .

scaled.php

Tejas 14,300 lb. JF-17 14,520 lb. Gripen 14,600 lb. Doesn't seem like Tejas uses a lot of composites.
AFAIK, JF-17 is the only one in its class that has MAWS.

It is indeed a joke for "composite" materials used on the indian plane
Would it have the weight of bombers if indian's "composite" materials are not used?

Well Chinese may consider it as a joke to add composites but others don't .

If composite is not added , the weight will increase . Nothing unusual .

.
Different generation , of course J-20 is better than old generation.

And we never say J-20 is better than F22/F35 or T50

Look at your logic in your pre-post about why LCA is better than J-10 J-11

LCA might be better than J-10 J-11 in the future , but your logic is 100% a Joke!

all future tenses for the indian made! we have seen these indian future tenses a lot in their media and on forums!

All the crucial parameters like angle of attack, flight range, combat radius, speed and ceiling etc are showing J-10 and 11 are far superior. And J-10 is matured and on process of upgrading to much better versions

According to the recent news of flying experience, the indian plane can only be classified at the same rank as our J-7 (our version of Mig-21)
And in fact that is what indian pilot has said something like the lca is better than iaf's stock of mig-21!

Well Chinese may consider it as a joke to add composites but others don't .

If composite is not added , the weight will increase . Nothing unusual .

and you fail to see the point.
JF-17 which is made without composite materials versus the indians plane made with what looks like a 45% (per your graph) composite material is weighing about the same!

and what will be the cost per plane of this indian made when it is declared FOC capable?

So what ?? JF-17 and Tejas are completely different aircrafts .

There will be 100s of factors that determine the weight of the aircraft . For eg ., Look up the wing area of both fighters .

And last time I checked some pakistani members were posting that JF-17 had some very small % of composites .

this is not a simple brush aside "so what" if you people are not bragging so much about the indian made's technology then "so what" are some passing words
The wing design of the indian is something that may have hindered its AoA
And the design of the indian made bears a close resemblance to Mirage 2000!

JF-17 regardless of your claim is not significant or not at all in using composite materials for its structures
