How India lags China in submarine race

Ya and the AIP will keep you under water for 10 years right??!!!!

they can stay under water for 14 days max that too at 5 kn based on Stirling engines which you gor from Sewden in 80s..

Now do you know how long it'll take for your sub to reach Karachi!!!

So if you can prove that the underwater endurance of our AIP submarines is not as long as advertised, go to Pakistan and Thailand and tell them to cancel their purchase of submarines from us. :P

Actually you would say that anyway, since you don't want Pakistan to use our AIP subs as a second-strike option, by putting nuclear warheads on submarine launched cruise missiles, that can be fired from the submarines we are selling them.

But you have no proof to back it up. :D You also accuse us of giving Pakistan nuclear weapons, ironically enough.

There was picture of it posted on a thread on this forum.
Second i said SSK would have to surface often to OPERATE in IOR after sailing from china and if it didn't refuel it would be one way trip.So U can sail to pak port and refuel in peacetime not entering indian waters all u want. But in wartime actually tracking ships or hunting near indian waters for any period of time after a trip from china without surfacing is not possible and in any case you would need to go refuel very quickly or one way trip.SSKs are largely useless for global operations due to this reason,AIP has made them a bit better. But not removed the inherent problem.Otherwise you wouldn't see USN buying virginia boats at 5-6 times the price of a diesel submarine get it?
Nor would u see cash strapped russia building yasen class at 2-3.6 billion dollars-twice that of a borei class ssbn when it can get kilo for 500 million or more.Go ahead and ask out any naval specialist on the forum if u wish, sven svensonov, penguin, nihonjin.
China's huge diesel sub fleet is very useful in the south china sea as ambush weapons,as are IJN's superb diesel subs. But thousands of miles out here without any support coming through a chokepoint..not really.
Like i said only chinese subs that concern us at the moment is type 93 class which u have 2 or 3.Come back when u have 20-30.

Dude there's no use of talking to a Ignorant... He'll keep on drag you to his level better leave him on his own fantasy

Personal attacks, great. That just proves you have no argument left. :P

Give me a call when India is even close to building an AIP submarine. Let alone selling it to customers like Pakistan and Thailand in deals worth billions.

OK @AUSTERLITZ I found the "video" you were talking about.

The video was of the submarine surfacing as it was about to DOCK in Karachi port. Not midway through the journey as you claimed. :P It was actually in the same link:

Exclusive: Chinese submarine lurked past Indian waters, docked in Karachi - India Today

The video in the news link is of Type 039A Yuan class submarine in 2011.

The news media was looking for viewership from a bunch that is ignorant about submarines.

Seems like they got their latest one

Even worse, so you guys don't even have a video to back up your claims at all.

Again, where is the video proof that our AIP diesel-electric submarine had to surface "often" on its trip to dock at Karachi port? :azn:

Create your own AIP from the scratch don't steal someone design or reverse engine them then we'll talking about the endurance as per advertised.

Stop with your gloating.. pakistan buy thai is buying... Pakistan buys from you becasue they've no other option.. other subs are expensive and they wouldn't get a Soft loan. And my point again even if it has 14 or 10 days that doesn't matter... Pakistanis share border with us and they are right here, while you're not

I never said anything or commented a against pakistan's purchase. You give them nuke or don't give them that's not going to change the situation on the ground. we also posses nukes with under water capabilities

You have me confused for someone else

When did i make any claims?

Sorry I can't really remember Indian usernames that well.

Still does anyone have that "video proof" that our AIP submarine had to surface "often" on its trip to Karachi? I'd love to see it. :D

You could show it to Pakistan and Thailand and get them to cancel their purchase of Chinese submarines, then you really would have the last laugh!

LOL no, check the news, Thailand are currently resuming their purchase. :enjoy:

The Thai Armed forces wanted them, the Govt put it on hold to see if they really needed it, and now they are clearing it:

$1 billion USD Thailand Navy to buy 3x S26T AIP subs from China, deal close to done

They've already decided on Chinese submarines, what they are debating now is how many they need.

Tell you what, why don't you go into your browser and type that particular title and see how many positive replies you get...

that was a doctored title by a desparate Chinese member. all the article was explaing by a naval guy aboiut why and when they need the sub not like they're about to sign the deal... why do you never read the article

LOL so you're just repeating what I said.

Wait weren't you the same guy just now who resorted to personal attacks (thus losing the argument) and crying about something or the other? Or was that another Indian member?

Oh apparently it's you again. :D

Back on topic, how do you expect India to defend itself with such an enormous disparity in terms of naval power, and more importantly border infrastructure on the LAC?

Since if India conducts another Forward Policy, it won't just be a naval war of course. The Chicken's neck corridor connecting India to their entire NE is very vulnerable and quite close to the border as well.
