How do you feel about end of world or judgement day?

Hi,
Almost all major religions predict the end of the world, I would like to know our esteemed members opinion about this topic.
Are you eagerly awaiting for it to happen? Or do you think it will never happen (at least in our lifetime)
Your replies will be highly appreciated even if they are light hearted or hypocritical.

We all know that earth will cease to exist when the sun swells up in about another 4bil years , but I am not talking about that.
I am more interested in what our religious texts say and what people truely believe in.

I always ponder why material life is so attractive that we are so much busy in it as if we will never die and would live here forever . We spend most of our time in collecting money , building big houses and going after others material things when our life is as short as say between 60 to 100 years if you dont die at younger age. We got life for death and when i see many rich and powerful struggled so much in all their lives but did not find much time to enjoy what they had and left so much wealth behind then i ask from myself . was it worth it?

Those who care so much about after life will think twice before hurting anyone because they know God will not forgive them if they oppress someone

Okay. You got 75 year ticket. You can use it to extract the best out of it or waste it. Your choice. I know I hear some of you say yeh "we got life after death". No worries. If life after death is waiting for you and is such a great proposition please -

i. Do not cry when your close relative dies. Throw a party instead. Laugh in joy. In fact be jealous of him/her whose gone to a better place. Be like "my mate Jan Mohammed" is chillin upstairs and look at me here sufferin" Lucky git !

ii. Do not do anything that extends your ticket. Eat fatty foods. Do not take any exercise. Do not take any medication that extends your life. Do not get any medical treatment that extends your life. Go for 'good' jobs that offer salvation from this ticket. Like very dangerous jobs.

And if shooting starts and everybody is running away make sure you run in the opposite direction into the bullets. That way not only will you go to a better life upstairs but everybody will remember you as a hero.


Me? I am intend to squeeze every year out of my ticket and suffer in this life.

I know it's about the end of the world, but as far as I am concerned, that happens when my end happens. But until that happens, I want to finish everything pending and live as if my end is the next moment, enjoy every moment as it comes. Count me in, too; I intend to squeeze every minute to the full.
