And you are the entire Muslim world on your own!?
They all met Trump during his visit ti KSA and decided what you have no idea about ..
But now Iranians are asking for elections for the post of supreme leader.. this joke could have been his answer too!?
The joke was we don't have ANY election.
On the post supreme leader, base on Iran constitution which in mechanism of designation of leader or replacement of him is written vividly. It could be a council or be just a person as it been so far. the council of experts elected directly by people is supposed to choose, monitor and dismiss the leader.
All the mechanism was written by people whom were chosen by people, these folks wrote the first draft which again people voted it and at last people voted to the final draft of the constitution .. I mean next to the referendum of IR we had 3 consecutive elections to establish the pillars of IR .. 4 elections in total. All the elections be it presidential, parliamentary or city council have been held base on this constitution so far. Now if people demand to change the status que or the mechanism or even remove such a position then it's up to them. Surly a part of society is not pleased by such a system while on the other hand majority support it. when you say "Iranians" you mean how many? all of them? 5%?10%? 80%?
Me myself also wants more transparency and monitor over the position, if you knew me in person you'd have considered me as an anti IR, I have no problem to admit that we have lots of problems in our economy and also in our political arena which should be addressed and fixed eventually. but I look at it as a process which takes time.
But in KSA:
Isn't asking change of government in KSA against the law?
Secondly is there any constitution except basic law decreed by the king?not voted by people?
Is there any entity or position chosen by people through ballot boxes?
Are Saudis people could participate in government?
But again it's not my concern, your country your decision ..but one of reasons behind the Islamic revolution in Iran was giving social freedom and reluctance to bring political reforms or sharing power. Development without political reforms is possible but ... Idk maybe monarchy is good for you. I don't like it.
