Will be interesting to see how the Russia-Belarus unification negotiations will proceed in the coming years. Belarus is the only post-Soviet nation to maintain a client-state like relationship with Moscow in return for generous subsidies from Russia. Putin now seems to be putting more pressure on Minsk.
