The LCA SPORT/LIFT aircraft option is still the best option for Egypt in the case of transferring technology to the plane, the avionics package and missile munitions. Egypt simply did not buy a large number of planes except for these things.

There are motivating factors, Malaysia limited its bid to the two tested M346 / T-50 planes, and all other planes were out of the Malaysian competition, despite the Russians offering the MIG-35 at a price of 40 million dollars and 30% of the size of the deal Offset

On the other hand, the option of the French M88 engine is very attractive for the LCA aircraft. The engine has better thrust to weight than the GE-404 engine, with a lower weight of 175 kg and shorter, which requires an increase in the fuel volume of the aircraft to increase the range.

The production of Avionics in Egypt allows it to develop locally old aircraft such as the F-16 and the MIRAGE-2000 plane, especially since it is expected that Egypt will obtain 24 Emirates MIRAGE-2000-9 aircraft, which will be produced in the period after 2003, which will allow its operation until 2043.

India also put forward another option with an offer to Vietnam, which is to supply the plane with the Russian RD-33 MKIII engine, which is in the latest version, RD-33MKM, with a thrust higher than 21,000 pounds, as another solution. The RD-33/M-88 engines serve on Egyptian fighters, providing Egypt with reduced operating and maintenance costs in The case of choosing any of them

The Egyptian Air Force until 2030 will consist of about 400 fighters, 600 UCAVs and Loyal Wingman, in addition to owning thousands of Swarms and also

The transfer of technology, even if it is less developed from the West, is easier to obtain from India and China with a mixture between the two countries. What China refuses will be made available by India and what India refuses will be provided by China and with the attempt to open a field of cooperation also with Japan and South Korea by exploiting the size of the Egyptian economic market for these countries

Expansion of cooperation with Southeast Asian countries will make Europe succumb to more cooperation with Egypt. As for the shortening of cooperation with the European side, and Russia did not provide Egypt with any respectable technology transfer, but rather put the Egyptian leadership in a field for accusations that it is buying political deals, nothing more.

The great disaster in Egypt remains the fight against honorable people from the Egyptian private sector, even those who cooperate with the government side. They consider it a predator and a slave to them, so the private sector does not go to any governmental development programs or real cooperation in the fields of research, development and innovation because of the current mafia

Sorry, LCA is the worst offer if Egypt really take up the offer. Too much mix of foreign tech, especially the radar is from Israel. Its a LCA plane IAF still try to figure out its final outfit. The promise of so called tech transfer are very questionable from Indian who still need to mass import of foreign weapon.

I am sure Egypt do not want to risk become guinea pig for India project.

LCA does present widest range of weapon and EW systems including sensors. With a clear future upgrade plan. Will be interesting to see what HAL offer includes.

To be clear, Egypt is fully aware of how to get the best technical offers and force the supplier to fulfill its obligations, the Chinese themselves. Egypt has implemented 33 basic modifications to the K-8 plane before it accepted its entry into service in Egypt, and that required two years to get the first plane out of the production lines.
And the next production batch of the K-8E plane, Egypt has implemented basic modifications, including 60% of the air frame, composite materials, and is currently implementing a mid-life upgrade program

The project is primarily intended for the transfer of technology in the field of avionics to Egypt in order to use more advanced products, which is an excellent level training aircraft. We are the ones who advised the Pakistanis that they are developing the JF-17 as an advanced training aircraft to be accepted by some countries

model437.jpg

India, like any other country, knows perfectly well that Egypt is the major gateway for them to enter the arms exporters market. It is more than interested in meeting the Egyptian demand, which is more stringent than the requirements of the Indian Air Force.
There is Chinese and Pakistani hostility to India, and this is reflected in the comments of some. Therefore, an attempt to distort any step in this direction is not taken into account.

China refused to transfer the SD-10 missile technology, even though it was done in cooperation with the Russians, such as the Indian ASTRA missile.

China is actively seeking to export the L-15 aircraft to the Emirates with a UAE production license to produce 48 aircraft to replace the Emirates' aging BAE Hawk and Aermacchi MB-339 trainer aircraft. While Saudi Arabia wants an advanced training aircraft and a light attack aircraft, China offers the L-15B version as a combat and attack version. China promotes L-15B to Saudi Arabia as an alternative to the F-16 Emirates’ requests for an advanced training bird go back to 2009, when it negotiated with Alenia Aermacchi company for the Emirates to produce it locally. The negotiations failed and stopped in 2011, and the M346 is sold at a price of 50 million dollars for contracts in 2020. It is an exaggerated price, and the contracts for the M346 plane are mostly corrupt and suspicious. Nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, so it contracted quickly and therefore many countries rejected it The M346 & L-15 planes are all derived from the Russian YAK-130 aircraft, and the Russian and Chinese planes are marketed at a price of 15-20 million dollars. The price of Italian rose from 30 to 50 million dollars, so only some European countries buy it in small numbers The L-15Z was sold to the Zambian Air Force at a price of $15 million And Emirates may ask for it with distinctive specifications at a price between 20-25 million dollars, and it is considered a cheap solution in working as a COIN/CAS LIFT plane The plane also has a UCAV version

View attachment 795030

that was tested in 2013 The capabilities of the L-15 depend on the copies produced The current production versions are L-15AW, a non-afterburner motorized version, equipped with a New holographic HUD with a 2800-3000kg thrust engine. LIFT COIN L-15B نسخة version Equipped with an afterburner, capacities between 4.5-5 tons for each engine, which provides total thrust capabilities between 18400-22045 pounds AI-222-28F (thrust 4500 kg afterburning) and AI-222-30F (5000 kg thrust afterburning ) engines An unmanned version of the UCAV was flown in 2013, and the Emirates could produce a version similar to the GJ-11 as the Loyal Wingman.
View attachment 795039

This is what makes the deal special, and consequently, the Emirates expands its production lines to the Gulf and export, especially since the Emirates have customers in African and Arab countries, which will facilitate marketing for them. The plane is equipped with the SD-10 missile, and it was tested in 2018 in the Chinese Navy, and more than one SD-10 missile was successfully launched As well as the PL-10E missiles The Chinese plane will provide the new versions with a large screen display instead of the current cabin AESA radar, whether Italian or Chinese, is also available The plane was presented to Egypt in 2010 to be produced locally in Egyptian production lines that have been suspended since 2011. The plane has a good future market as a result of China’s capabilities to develop it and equip it with various weapons, which makes it a cheap platform for delivering advanced munitions. In the Yemeni Houthi theater, killing Yemeni militias flying is much better than using heavy aircraft such as F-15 and TYPHOON, with several times the operating hours cost less . Especially with America's successive refusal to supply the F-16 to Saudi Arabia, which are sold at a price of 150 million dollars

The fact that the Emiratis are more flexible in exporting and the ability to give personal benefits to those with influence in different countries to pass arms deals and UAE sales to them will make the Emiratis easily market them to many countries, including exporting to Egypt itself as an option available to Egypt among several options

View attachment 795041
The plane represents for the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt a very cheap and flexible solution in all ways and the possibility of producing multiple derivative versions of it
UCAV
LIFT
LIGHT MULTIROLE FIGHTER Low thermal and radar signature
LOW Ownership and operational Hour Cost

Ease of technology transfer, as China is a complete producer of the aircraft, except for the Ukrainian engine, which is easily exported, especially Ukraine's good relations with Arab and African countries

China meets all the required modifications and even accepts the integration of European and American components into the plane

New Chinese COCKPIT training aircraft modular shape
Not quite, Yak 130 was a joint Italian and Russian project. Russians had a need fr a modern design and Italians had a great deal of experience in modern trainers. The Yak is the fruit of Italian Russian cooperation, which was later stopped, not before the Russians had almost all the designs and prototypes completed . Later on Italians decided to improve on the design and that’s how we get the M346, which is vastly superior to the Yak.

There is nothing about hostility, bias regards to your recommendation of IAF LCA. But purely from a technical point of view. Just becos some willing to ToT doesn't mean it's a sweeter deal.

Indian military product are highly immature and not proven. They are plenty of new supporting their dismay and over exaggerating capabilities. And you want a missile IAF themselves hardly equipped and risk Egypt military capabilities?

No sane human being are willing to take India risk. This is facts especially asking Egypt to be the first guinea pig.

Your recommendation is extremely foolish from a technical point of view. Unless India is willing to offer everything (ToT) free. And Egypt need not provide a single penny. That will be another story.

Complete stupidity is to imagine that your opinion has the slightest degree of intelligence, or that things are going according to recommendations of immaturity and that the Indian product is not good. It is clear that you do not understand anything at all. There is already Egyptian-Indian cooperation, whether in Indian radar systems manufactured locally, as well as in the field of anti-tank missiles and other things. Unannounced products, Egypt will not go to India now, but has been cooperating with it for years and has already transferred technology The same is true of diesel engines and other miscellaneous equipment. Egypt has not selected any military product throughout its history, but it was good. It is enough that Egypt is the one who makes any weapon valuable when it chooses Egypt. Look at the RAFALE and MIRAGE-2000. Its pair of other equipment spread globally after Egypt purchased it. Same thing with the Corvette Gowind India and Egypt are the two countries most in the world that depend on German production lines and technology in the production of products. Of course, you do not know this through your ignorance The story of LCA fuss This is also a kind of stupid fighter that has been serving in the Indian Air Force for years It is not going to enter the service, but actually serving With the number of 40 planes, so your opinions are an endless level of stupidity and ignorance of the reality of things. A pie that has been serving for 7 years and has been experimenting for many years and relies on Western systems in its components and not inferior Chinese components when we nominated this plane to Egypt simply because it is at the level of Western planes and no less, whether the quality is manufactured from proportions Made of composite materials, a very good computer is important. India is not the first time to produce a computer that is important for a fighter, but rather produces it for the Sukhoi 30 and MiG-29 fighters, and it has developed such a product during more than 20 years. You are buying a product with decades of experience Same story,

internal-ew-suite-for-tejas-mk1-lca_orig.jpg
Indian products are mainly produced on the basis of previous production licenses for a product either Russian or Western produced under license. The huge arrogance on your part is forgetting that India manufactures Apache chassis and F-16 wings and parts of the F-15 chassis, spare parts for the MiG-29 and the Sukhoi 30, and a country that produced 240 Sukhoi-30 aircraft says that it does not have experience, you have a great capacity of

ignorance of things and your words have reached very high levels of non-existence. Professional and smart are very stupid, and others do not understand and the opposite is true You are talking about a country that has been making planes since the fifties and has produced a huge series of fighters.

Product Safety Story Egypt does not compromise on high levels of safety in its products, and the low rate of plane accidents in Egypt is proof of that.

And also the effectiveness of the equipment service. Egypt simply can buy 20 fighters and you can make the level of its effectiveness in service 90% and 80% after 40 years of service. You do not understand the nature of a country like Egypt

Did you know, for example, that Egypt uses transport planes with absolute efficiency, with a very high operating rate and excellent economic operating capacity, so the plane continues to serve and does not enter the Umrah plane except while it is continuously exploiting the excellent economic operation for it

Egyptian equipment that is not new is always called gray equipment and we will show a very simple example
MIG-21 is an aircraft that served in Egypt 50 years. Did you know that Egypt replaced many parts of its structure with composite materials to reduce its weight several times, to raise the thrust capabilities, reduce the weight, as well as to modify the radar and antennas with it many times to keep it operating effectively against the F-16 and F-15 fighters, even though it is a very light aircraft And it has no significant impact on operations until it is out of service
Coming to the story of India, it will not provide Egypt with a full technical transfer according to its requirements. It is clear that you do not understand the nature of the Egyptian negotiation

India is in competition against the Russians and against the Europeans in providing technology and products to Egypt, so Egypt is getting what is best available to it

What do the Indians offer? They offered Egypt a production line of 120 planes locally, and the possibility of producing 250 planes for the benefit of Egypt and the entire African market. Simply, it will provide additional development programs and ammunition for the produced aircraft, in addition to meeting the needs of the Indian market. The amount of billions that will enter the Indian treasury will finance the development of AMCA fighters and finance the development of the new joint engine with Japan with a capacity of 110kn.

How did Egypt obtain 52 MIG-29M/M2 aircraft with the best equipment and a large volume of ammunition, spare parts and development services for years after delivery, with a value of only $2.2 billion? It placed the JF-17 BLOVK II in competition with the MiG-29

And there is competition between J-10C & MIG-35 for a new batch of fighters between Russia and China before Egypt goes to fifth generation fighters. Military Joint Equipment Production
And Egypt imposed conditions on the Russians, for example, to supply the R-77M1/ME missile in large quantities with the MiG-35 and the Sukhoi-35
Even the R-37M missile is to be supplied with the two fighters

We do not pay one dollar except to obtain the best weapons, and the supplier benefits from Egypt greatly. To illustrate a very simple example, the MIG-29M was purchased by Algeria with the same Egyptian specifications, so the Russians benefited by exporting 16 other planes with higher profitability from Algeria.
As a result, they were followed by strict Egyptian requirements

The same thing is the modifications that Egypt made to the Egyptian K-52 plane that were integrated into the Russian production and within the development package of the plane, whether for supply to Russia or other countries.

Egypt does not accept the entry of arms contracted into service only after meeting the maximum requirements of service in Egypt

Egypt stopped the delivery of many Russian batteries before they were redeveloped, for example, the ANTAY-2500 system, Egypt refused to receive its further developed battery and to integrate missiles with ranges of 350 km and modifications to it that made it superior to the export version of the S-400 and the Russians acquiesced to this matter because Egypt simply increased its order for 8 batteries

Technology transfers always depend on the size and value of the deals
Egypt has bought military equipment from Russia that exceeded 8 billion dollars, and there are future deals, so it is natural for the Russians to invest in Egypt several billions in 250 factories set up in Egypt.

So when Egypt wants to transfer the entire technology, it will be in exchange for a big deal, of course, as well as the presence of international competition

Italy offers to transfer the entire technology of drones in exchange for a deal to buy 24 planes at a very low price, less than half the price that was sold to him to Nigeria, simply because there is competition from India, America and China for LIFT planes.

dsc00083_orig.jpg

What Egypt requires from India is not the summit of global technologies, but rather medium technologies that will be developed later. India refuses to accept South Africa, accept Korea, and accept China, all in competition

Why did Egypt reject the Chinese offer of the JF-17 plane because it did not meet the levels of technology transfer that Egypt requires from China, whether for the plane or the SD-10A missile Money is here to rule things

Please learn and try to understand before you speak

The Austrian company is flexible in the areas of technology transfer and offset, as it benefits from the wide spread of its production licenses and the price of its aircraft is generally good. They have benefited from the deployment of Rotex engines on drones and light aircraft with production, and they almost monopolize the markets with their products that do not impose restrictions on exports.

SEOUL/SINGAPORE—Following the landmark KM-SAM Cheongung Block II surface-to-air missile deal with the United Arab Emirates, South Korea is now reportedly offering Korea Aerospace Industries T-50 advanced jet trainers to the Middle Eastern country. A deal could be worth as much as $4.5 billion...

The South Koreans are on a roll in the Middle East. They just won a $3.5 billion air defense deal, and could use that as a stamp of acceptance to promote this. Heck, KAI might even give heavy concessions on weapons and tech transfers for future weapons packages for their T-50.

It is interesting to see so many new players increasing competition for the traditional players.

Only one problem; the Arabs won't be too adventurous with their non-American purchases. They won't want Freedom & Democracy, Inc. knocking on their doors if they push Uncle Sam too much.

The south Korea K-9 SPH used american caterpillars engine, German calibre main gun. Those are the critical parts which no one will ToT. Even SK themselves cannot indigenous product themselves and need import from US.

A big reason why Turkey cannot export T-129K to PA, SK unable to export F/A-50 to Argentina. The K-9 will not escape the helms of western control.

Egypt is the one who creates competition in the international arms market, as it is the first to choose to diversify the sources of arms

It is the country that helped transform China and North Korea into manufacturers greatly

Egypt in the fifties cooperated with Nazi German scientists

It was the one who secretly settled the Nazis in Egypt. In the end, the English were the enemies of the Egyptians and occupied their lands, so Egypt was settling the Germans and benefiting from them against England and the West in the fifties and sixties

In the sixties and seventies, Egypt transferred Soviet technology to China

She is the one who transported the plane
, MIG-21/23 to China to develop the Chinese fighter industry

It is one of the transfers of the Soviet SCUD B/ FROG 7 missiles to China and North Korea
The same is true for AT-3 missiles
For the two countries to reverse-engineer their production and develop them later

The Chinese HJ-8 missile used components from the French Milan, the English Swingfire, and the American TOW base via Egypt

At the end of the eighties, Egypt transferred the technology of the Condor 2 missile to China in exchange for China’s support for the production of solid fuel ballistic missiles, as well as the completion of the Condor 2 program, as well as the local production of the DF-15 missile since 1992

EGYPYIAN SPH122 EGYPT TRANSFER FCS TO SOUTH KOREA in 1988A

South Korea has acquired the Egyptian SPH 122 fire control system, which is mounted on the chassis of the American M109 . armored vehicle
This is what South Korea later developed and produced the K9 . system
The problem of the Egyptians is the limited-minded leadership that does not invest in developing equipment and relying on national cadres

Egypt was able to produce the M109 cannon locally by importing an engine from abroad. Therefore, it can spend locally on development better than importing. The cost of local development is better, but the Egyptian private sector will succeed, provided that the army or its partnership does not control it.

The Egyptian private sector is under the control of the Assyrians, so the failure to market the ST-100/500 vehicles is the military’s interference in the management of the project and their delusion that they are the developer, so they hindered the export of vehicles internationally and failed to export them even though they are the best in the world. The private sector is the best, not the governmental or military

The failure of the marketing of the ASN-209 aircraft is the government control of the project, and it failed as usual. There is a local war against any success or development, and deliberately appointing the mentally handicapped as leaders and controllers of the Egyptian and military industrial entities, especially as we are older than Turkey in the military industries, and they were very miserable administrative competencies that are only suitable for expulsion

Nice twisted stories. Beside the Mig-23 given by Egypt to China, nothing others are worth mentioning. AT-4 missile are second rated compare to HJ-8. HJ-8 tech are access by China during the honeymoon period between West and China in late 70s to 80s. China DF missile series are zero derived from Condor missile. Ballistic missile is always the strong point for PRC and west and soviet fully restrict any tech that could fall into Chinese hand. The Condor are noting but monkey version approved for export which zero tech worth Chinese to take a look at.

Egypt was producing the British SWINGFIRE missile and was producing vision systems for the MILAN missiles, and later it produced the TOW missile with a license from America
China only got a small number of hot rockets from the West

HJ-8 . missile

Like many Chinese-made weapons, the HJ-8 borrowed heavily from foreign models. Its appearance and assembly suggests it was influenced by the French MILAN, the American BGM-71 TOW, and the Soviet Konkurs. These were all second-generation wire-guided systems and the HJ-8 was a very late addition to the lineage.

the tripod from the US BGM-71 TOW; the tracker-control unit from the French/German MILAN; and the missile from the UK Swingfire.

When we mentioned the models of weapons, we were referring to the first systems, such as the MIG-21 engines and the MIG-21 aircraft, and we did not talk about the MIG-23/SU-22 aircraft simply because we mentioned the models of the weapons.

The Condor missile is very much better than the Chinese missiles. It relied on better Western techniques, whether it reduced its thermal and radar signature, or even accuracy levels up to the destructive ability of its own head.

Egypt's approach to China in cheap missiles DF-15
Because it has a very low cost and is not for Chinese superiority, China did not develop into advanced capabilities until the end of the nineties and some of its acquisition of various technologies. We are here to not want to publish the secrets of the Egyptian-Chinese cooperation programs, which include modern technologies for very close periods.

There is a preference for Chinese products because of their cheap prices. For example, the HJ-11 missile has a very low price, less than $12,000, while the price of the HJ-12 missile is up to $60,000. Therefore, the goal is to produce a large quantity of it, in addition to obtaining more advanced missiles, such as the HJ-10/12 in smaller quantities. Policy followed by Egypt and China
The Chinese army circulates the HJ-11 missile, while the Chinese army gets a small number of HJ-12 missiles

The Egyptian-Chinese cooperation programs continue to this day
Let us give a very simple model of the Emirates C-130 plane, which included French MICA & harpoon missiles and many other missiles in 2009, to be transferred to China to produce the MICA missile by reverse engineering. The plane was set in India when the Emirati plane descended to refuel at the time, and India exposed the matter at the time so that French and Western technologies would not leak to Pakistan, It was believed at the time that there was Egyptian-Emirate cooperation to transfer weapons to China as part of technology transfer packages

A few years ago, China itself bought a share of the Egyptian company IMUT, which produces the ST-100/500/700 armored vehicles
