He learnt from the very best ... but was he able to translate his knowledge to build something constructive? Deliver capable scientists to Pakistan or the larger world? In fact he has tried to influence people and perhaps his students in other ways...
When people interpret Jinnah... they look at his outwardly western appearance, his clothes, cigars... what they don't know is how Jinnah defined himself... Jinnah's facade was a persona built by his circumstances most of which he had no control over ... such as his parents wish for him to be successful in British ways... as most people who were up and coming, looked up to the Brits... Jinnah became all that his parents and surroundings made him but then he became what he wanted for himself!
His parents were first generation Muslim converts and were not much versed in Islam...
This is how you contextualize Jinnah!
He owned that movement... if he was a warrior he'd been a top commander, marshaling his troops to victory.
Jinnah was not naive, neither was Iqbal... these were ideologues and knew exactly what they wanted and what they're struggling for...

Constructive criticism is one thing. Pakistanis are notorious for this.

Criticizing the founder of your country is a whole other thing.

BD left of its own accord, why harp on it? They don't believe in the ideal of Pakistan. It should have been separated immediately after Partition.

Right now, the bigger issue is Indian Muslims' future. Quaid e Azam was 100% correct when he said they would be spending the rest of their lives trying to prove loyalty to India.

Ok, that’s his point of view as per his understanding and we can agree with his POV for a short term of kicking ideology out the window for human development but consideration geopolitics and threat matrix in the region, his POV will land us in slavery or a human disaster in the long run.

UP, Bhopal, Rohillas, Oud, etc. previously joined Pakistan by a large land corridor of Muslim majority regions up to Bangal.

The British ethnically cleansed North India of Muslims when they took down the Mughals and supported their puppets (Sikhs, Marathas, and others) in doing the same. Hindus were settled in those regions and they eventually became Hindu majority, ending the land connection between Pak and Bangal.

That's why Bangladesh looks so isolated from the Muslim heartland, which is Pakistan and everything West of us.

Due to isolation and nationalist feelings, BD people became very different than us. Most of their intellectuals were Hindus like Tagore.

1971 was a blessing in disguise, Pakistan recovered its ideological and civilization basis, became self sufficient, plus we culled many Hindu superstitious aspects from our society.

Previously, his main issue was Pakistan's atomic deterrence, may be he dreamed to see Pakistan on mercy of India. He has totally no idea of regional ground realities.
After failing in his previous profession now he is interested in and started to hitting at the roots of Pakistan.

We have more capable guys then him.
But still I think we really really need to think about our social structure..
